Just check if it is installed by typing man patch. If it si not start up rpmdrake and search for a package named patch and install it. BTW it is a console program and not part of the bash shell. I have tried to install the backport patch usb-2.4.0-test2-pre2-for-2.2.16-v3.diff.gz when I use the patch command in the terminal it says that it is not a recognized command. Is thepatchcommand not a command in the bash shell? Ed
