Re: [newbie] Boot Sequence Failures?
Hello philip look in /etc/rc.d/init.d and view the file network and se the line with chkconfig 2345 10 90 it mean that the network runs on runlevels 2 3 4 5 starts as seq. 10 eg S10Network and stops as seq. 90 eg K90Network check whats the start values is for pcmcia an change the start and stop values to something suitable, bare in mind what you ar doing as networking is a big thing in linux. good luck please correct me if i´m wrong also a newbie Owner wrote: > I've noticed that during my boot sequence with Mandrake, I've been > getting some failures. Re: [newbie] Boot Sequence Failures?
You got it - the pcmcia is finally booted allowing Eth0 to do it's thing. With Linux, I've found it's best not to sweat the stuff that works fine, but gives you anxious moments.
