Hi all,

I am new to this developer world. I have tried the Sample Apps, it worked
really well, thanks for this great API. Now, I'll be trying to import it
into .Net. Everyone's help is needed to make it a success.

[orkut-developer] Re: "Report abuse" link must be included in canvas view

2010-06-01 Thread Prashant (Google)
Hi Glauber,

Thanks for your suggestion. We're already considering doing something
on similar lines.

But just to clarify: for every installed app, there's already an
option to "report app" shown in its canvas view, but not actually in
the profile view, as your mail seemed to say. Did you perhaps mean the
opposite?

2-legged client logins directly to your site isn't possible but if

it using orkut-os-client .

2010-06-01 Thread Alex Porto
Hi

I've been receiving a message, for a longe time, from Orkut, complaining
about an old application a I did, but I can't find a way to remove an
application from Orkut Directory. I've been searching for ways to do this
for a long time. That application is no longer usefull, and I don't have
access to its domain server anymore. So, I just want to know how to remove
it from directory.

I've sent a message to opensocial-app-feedback, which was, as I found, the
way to ask for app removal. However, I just received a automated message
telling me that they don't answer e-mails at that address, and I should ask
my questions here.

Does any one knows how to solve this?

Best regards,

Alex

The 25-applications-per-user limit is there since OpenSocial started
in Orkut, but I am wondering if it's still necessary.

If an user reaches this limits and wants to tryout a new application,
he:

1. Receives the limit warning;
2. Goes to edit page;
3. Chose an application he might not want to use again;
4. Deletes it;
5. Click back button a couple of times;
6. Add the new application.

I think this could be better, and I see a lot of users reaching this
limit and facing this use case, while he probably should be shown to a
list of most used applications, like Facebook.

Is there a chance of a change about this issue?

Thank you.

[orkut-developer] Re: help qith invalid signature

2010-06-01 Thread Carlos Crosetti
Sachim, something that is very at your hands is to run the rpc Java
interface you built and capture the log for a friends request, so I
can see what re the network line record. For me, seting up Java is
quite challenging... regards, carlos

[orkut-developer] Re: help qith invalid signature

2010-06-01 Thread Carlos Crosetti
Sachim, per my experience with orkut, it is getting the oauth values
from the query parameters, It is also looking to the headers for
signature evaluation? Can you explain what elements are taken bu orkut
to build the base string in the server side? I believe I am not that
far to resolution unless there is some parameter I am not sending that
being unseen by orkut, the base sitring for the signature evaluation
gets very different.

As a pluls, can we schedule a test slot so I can send you a @friends
requet to orkut and based on my consumer key you can inspect the logs
to se what is wrong or missing?
