[orkut-developer] retrieving "owner/viwer" information is not working for past couple of days

2010-07-05 Thread Abhishek
This is something that I have noticed the retrieving "owner/viwer"
information is not working for past couple of days. It shows noting
this is breaking my application for Orkut and Gmail and gives
inappropriate date in case of IGoogle. Here is the code that can
demonstrates the same:

[orkut-developer] Re: mediaitems.get / albumId

2010-07-05 Thread Allann Jones
Hi. I'm using 3-legged Orkut/Oauth RPC API. Where I get information
about the resources and methods that are correctly implemented? Is
necessary implement something on Orkut sandbox side?

I'm getting permission errors on requests like messages.get,
mediaitems.get. Please, I need some information about these errors. I
get the albums listing, but can't get the pictures inside each album.

Is possible to use 3-legged API, or only 2-legged API is supported? Is
necessary implement some gadget on Orkut side to have access to
account data?

Thank you. Best regards.

Re: [orkut-developer] Re: Can't get viewer id when viewer is not the owner

2010-07-05 Thread Alex Porto
Hi Prashant.

I've teste, just right now, both on sandbox and prod.sandbox. Using iexplore
as viewer != owner, chrome as viewer == owner and firefox for both
cases.

I'm using the code sample provided by Robison, but viewer id is only printed
when the viewer is also the owner of the app.

This bypasses the error, but errorMessages is empty.

if (viewerData.hadError()) {
viewer = '-1';
document.getElementById('mydiv').innerHTML += viewerData.errorMessage();
 } else {
viewer = viewerData.getData().getId();
 }

Re: [orkut-developer] Re: Get profile permission denied(orkut-python)

2010-07-05 Thread 朱涛 Tower Joo
Hi Prashant:

Thanks for your reply.

Let me provide more information about the issue we met.

1. we are using Python/Django as the backend technique, and we are
using opensocial-python-client(
http://code.google.com/p/opensocial-python-client/). Just checked the google
code project, the version we are using
is not the latest.
2. we got the error(see the first post of this thread), when the app
executes the following code snippet:

def get_owner_data(self):

container = self.get_container()

fields = ['@all']

request = FetchPersonRequest(self.os_id, fields)

result = {}

import sys

try:

result = container.send_request(request, use_rest=True)

except:

logging.debug(sys.exc_info())

self.os_id is the opensocial id of the user, which we can make sure we can
get it correctly.

The most weird thing is:

Our app works well for some users(e.g 11688031074713228102) and it complains
for the error for some users(e.g 12420640208726308799). And I can't figure
out why.

Thanks.
