Tiago, thanks for the update I somehow expected that we already could take wider space on new canvas. By change width do you mean something like gadgets.window.adjustWidth? this can cause a problem with floating elements (i.e. float:right, float:left, etc) designs. I think something like moduleprefs setting or adjustWidth with explicit width param would be better, IMHO. Thanks, Rene, #2 is working as intended: we want the profile owner to select only one app to show on their profile. Hope that's an incentive to write an amazing profile app. #1 is a known issue and we'll work on it. #3 needs more measurements before we can decide, but the whole site is migrating to expansion at bottom. I personally prefer infinite scroll, but it seems it isn't as popular. Thanks a lot for your attention and sorry for the delay in my
response. :( I was sick.
Last weekend I saw the issues that I noted pulled to orkut.com.
To avoid users to see buggy apps I had to turn off the "content-
rewrite" for tags link and style. Since that happened as I could
expect the requests to our servers increased a lot.
Our team is working on the CSS to see what does the "new" concat
accepts and what it does not, but any help of Orkut team would be very
apreciated. :)

Hey guys. I just rechecked and the app canvas on new orkut is not
wider than before.
You made a wider canvas and that's cool, but it is impossible to make
an app canvas wider to take the whole width, so what gives?

One more observation,
3) If you go to the app directory, you will see 16 apps in two columns, and
at the bottom, you will see a button that says "show more apps". If you
click the button, 16 more apps are added at the bottom, and you have to
scroll down to see them. I think it would be easier to navigate the app
directory if you had a "Next Page" and "Previous Page" buttons at the top,
that allows you to see the next 16 apps, or the previous 16 apps, without
having to scroll.
I also forgot to congratulate you for the great work, I specially liked the
new wider canvas page, with the configuration options at the top, and the
configuration pop-up dialogs.

Seems to be apps redesign in live now in all profiles! But have some
feedback.
1) After adding application its not redirecting to application canvas!
Expected action is after adding app take a bite of application
application and not just add it.!
2) while clicking on application thumbnail its showing info. Again
expected action is navigate canvas view of app. text link may be place
to view info of application./ edit application settings.
3) again universal directory search is not well managed its there when
we search within my applications, most popular, recently added tab!

This call returns different if you are using the new orkut or the old
orkut:
gadgets.util.getUrlParameters().gadgetOwner
In the new orkut, the value doesn't seem to be OK.

Hi Tiago Activity dialogs are opened at the top of the page and most of the time not in the visible area. If the canvas is tall and user scrolled the page a bit. This can cause activities to be not posted/ignored. This worked fine on a previous canvas version. There is a small but significant bug on a new canvas in sandbox. Activity dialogs are opened at the top of the page and most of the time not visible if the canvas is tall and the click is towards the middle/bottom. This can cause activities to be not posted/ignored. On production it works OK - the dialog is opened in a visible area. hope this will be fixed before deploying to production. We just need to make sure we won't break anyone (badly) and that it can't be abused to annoy users. 2. single view with options menu instead of tabs worried us too, but during tests it seemed to work well. Tabs were definitely not the way to go. If the menu is prominent enough for users to find, we believe it will work well. Thanks for the suggestion, Julio. Did you try to click on the app thumbnail? Maybe that's harder to discover than we thought. Some people reported not being able to log in. It seems there's a problem with authentication. One workaround is to go to orkut.com and log in with your developer account (the one you use to submit apps), then open sandbox.orkut.com.
