[orkut-developer] Re: Strange behavior in orkut sandbox
Hi Tiago Regarding cache invalidation on sandbox I noticed that if I verify a sandbox app (which is not mandatory as sandbox apps are supposed to be used for testing purposes) the app is updated, however locale xml translation files still not updated, it is somehow takes translations from default specs (i.e. en) I've seen a situation on sandbox where the app is partly portuguese partly english because of that. If the app is not verified it is never updated on sandbox at all. Same app is working correctly on production. Something is very wrong with updates on sandbox. In addition regarding the activities - app links are currently broken on both sandbox and production, see: http://groups.google.com/group/opensocial-orkut/browse_thread/thread/a22cbdc4634790e7/8b7ff1971e34ce7a?show_docid=8b7ff1971e34ce7a I believe this is a new issue. It's our fault, we're changing the way we check if an app is featured all over the system. You should be able to create activities now. No news on cache invalidation yet, sorry. Unfortunately, this involves refactoring a large amount of 2-year-old code -- very carefully. From time to time you can expect breakages in the directory and the flow of installing/uninstalling an app. We believe it will be worth the effort, both for you and for the users. Hi Fernando. Well, this config does not solve our problem this time. I have it configured this way already and the problem remains... Hello. I´m also having this problem, besides the caching problem on sandbox, that forces you to add the cache bypass (bpc=1) to every single request, to have the app last version... Last time apps disappeared from the list, if I´m not mistaken, it was an issue that needed a configuration to be changed (Settings --> security filter --> switch to ´show all content´ ).
