Hmm. I'm just shy of 6' myself, with a long torso. I tend to carry my cameras the same way. I have a bunch of Peak Design anchors. They come in sets of two with an Arca-Swiss compatible camera plate, and the anchors can be fitted to the camera plate without interfering with the plate's function on a tripod. The PD plates are thin and can be left fitted to the camera all the time, unless I want to put the camera into a snugly fitted half case. One of my half-cases (The "Jason Cui model" for the Leica CL) includes an externally accessible tripod screw mount too. All choices, and there are lots of good ones! :) G -- %(real_name)s Pentax-Discuss Mail List To unsubscribe send an email to pdml-le...@pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

Yes, that’s correct. So I can mount the camera on the tripod with the strap attached. Since the trap is a sling it’s quite long, so I sometimes boop the strap over my head when using the tripod. Re: OT: Fancy Camera Strap
Looks like the target market is photographers who use sling straps that attach to the tripod socket on the bottom of a camera. One problem with those is you have to disconnect the strap to put the camera on a tripod. My Sun-Sniper strap clips on to the ring for a Manfrotto RC2 adapter, but I still have to UN-clip to mount the camera on a tripod. This looks like it will allow you to mount to the tripod without having to remove the strap. I'd have to replace all my Manfrotto mounts with Arca Swiss, but I think I'm kinda headed that way anyway.
