It's a good think gmail doesn't overflow easily... I'm way behind on
the posts... :-(

Becky Carter's old site may not have been kiddy porn, but it became a
site that everyone liked to hate for a good reason. Did some googling
just now, and she has indeed pulled down her site. Instead, she's put
up a blog:
http://www.photoartbyrebecca.blogspot.com/
Where it looks like she's trying to diversify her career a little bit.

But I googled some of the other names featured in the link that
Anthony posted (http://www.twistedgrafix.com/winashoot/supremes.html)

Not that I want to get into this whole pet/master relationship, but it
seems to me that ~among~ our relationships with pets, we're (at least
sometimes) ~in loco parentis~ (in the place of a parent).

Actually, we are what are called "pack leaders" or "pack alphas".
In loco parentis gives the animal too much credit.
Or not enough.

I agree with you 100%, Valuation (shit, that's twice in a week, what's
this world coming to?).

Not that I want to get into this whole pet/master relationship, but it
seems to me that ~among~ our relationships with pets, we're (at least
sometimes) ~in loco parentis~ (in the place of a parent).

We ought not be painting the faces of our children (primarily girls,
it seems) for our own needs (I'd say placing a three year old child in
a beauty contest is for the adult's needs, not the kid's). That's
just wrong.

Funny thing about beauty contests, especially those for youths or very
young children: rather than celebrate diversity it seems that the aim
for most contestants (presumably fuelled by the choices of the judges)
is to be as homogeneous as possible. Sexualizing young girls with
makeup, "adult-looking" hair and skimpy outfits seems to win contests.
Full, red, pouty lips and great big velvet-painting-like eyes seem to
be a goal. These horrendous photoshop monstrosities are simply taking
these goals to their extreme. Obviously they're being used for
promotional material for these professional beauty pageant entrants.

Becky Carter probably resented that most traffic coming her way was to gawk
