Re: PESO - Common Ground
Thanks Boris. I struggled for a name. In the end I chose the name because I felt the two-dimensional trees present a single common face to the viewer and because beneath the surface they are growing in 'common ground', likely roots interwined. Goofy? Possibly/Probably. :-) Tom C. >From: Boris Liberman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Reply-To: Pentax-Discuss Mail List >To: Pentax-Discuss Mail List >Subject: Re: PESO - Common Ground >Date: Thu, 15 Feb 2007 07:30:55 +0200 > >Tom, it is a very nice picture, but could you please explain why you >chose these two words for the title? > >Thanks. > >Tom C wrote: > > Well, perfect weather today at home, but the inversion had the fog > > suppressed even lower than yesterday. Tom, it is a very nice picture, but could you please explain why you chose these two words for the title? Thanks. Maybe it's all a matter of taste. The problem I am having is that when I get the contrast I *think* I want, I also get more noise than I desire. The photo works pretty well as a sepia tone. Btw, thanks Bill. I think I went even slightly farther in lightening the overall tone, but increasing contrast a bit. OK. In a nod to both Mr. Robb and Ms. Sanfedele (hahaha) I adjusted the contrast and reframed the photo with a somewhat narrower med/dark gray frame. Re: PESO - Common Ground
Tom, this one doesn't work so well for me -- if I didn't know of your past accomplishments perhaps I'd just not bother to comment. I love days like that, myself, but somehow this image lacks strength. I think too that you are doing your best photos a disservice by making a bit too elaborate a frame around them . I'd like to see either the whole page black or a narrower black and whiteline frame. in the case of Common Ground, as it is a photo of such low contrast, the high contrast of the frame is distracting. ann Tom C wrote: >Well, perfect weather today at home, but the inversion had the fog >suppressed even lower than yesterday.
