Back from a wonderful excursion to Venice where I shot 7 rolls of 120 in two daysthink it's a record for me. You can burn film there at a furious pace... Re: OT Digital or Film source?
I agree with this conclusion but probably for different reasons. I'm guessing the last shot was taken with a macro lens by the characteristics of the image -- being a closeup and all. The first two are general scenes which are more likely to be taken with a basic point and shoot digital camera. As far as the shots go and distinguising which ones were taken by a digital camera and which one is from traditional print or slide film I think it's almost impossible to tell. Really, all of them are simply digital images whether they are taken originally on a digital camera or scanned in later. At this poor quality, I don't think it matters. Give me a 25 meg file and I may be able to pick out the diffences between a scanned image and an image taken with a point and shoot. I'm not sure it would be easy however, distinguishing the difference if a high-end digital camera and good lens was used. Too low resolution and too corrupted by jpg artifacts to tell for certain. It's like recording the output of a "boom box" and my Altec Lansing "Voice of the Theater" sound system on a micro cassette analog tape recorder and asking passers by to tell the difference! Reminds me of the shell game. Regards, Bob... --- "In the carboniferous epoch we were promised perpetual peace. They swore if we gave up our weapons that the wars of the tribes would cease. It's more difficult to tell on the net instead of having prints in hand, but I would guess that the first 2 are digital and the third is film.
