RE: Slow eBay seller

2002-04-19 Thread £ukasz Kacperczyk

I waited two months for a package from the States (I live in Poland). When I
finally received it I learned that it had spent a month at a Warsaw Post
Office (and the camera wasn't functional, but that's another story...). So I
guess we should have more faith in Ebay sellers and try to be a little
understanding (unless they send you junk of course).

I got an eMail from the seller saying he sent the item, but after two
weeks I hadn't received it. He was just about to send another one
when it finally showed up.

I figured he had probably forgotten to send it, but the post mark
showed he had sent it when he said he had, over two weeks ago.

Why the Post Office took that long to move it less than 80 miles is a
mystery. But, it shows that sometimes it's not the seller's fault.

All-
Thanks for the advice. I got an email from the seller last night, saying
that
he is shipping me the camera today. I did the same as Paul- just sent
him an email
saying that I haven't heard back from him and would like a reply. We'll
see once the
camera gets here.

Hi Paul,

I`m glad it worked out for you! Just a simple "slip of the mind".

Then you need to request his contact info from ebay. Maybe PP also offer this
service? Someone else also suggested this.

Our contact info is on the "about me" page.

fill in the contact info request form and ebay will email you the
address and contact info they have on file. Hopefully it will still be
valid. If its invalid then increase your level of worry about the
transaction and act accordingly :)

Taka,

Did you check your feedback? Some sellers that I've dealt with don't
e-mail me when they get the money, but give me my feedback. Just a
thought...

Taka. You know, you can always use the phone. I do that sometimes, when

Besides which, how did you pay him? Maybe a check has to clear?

Here's a question:

Let's say I paid with a money order from a bank. Does the seller have to
wait until it clears or is it understood that it's as good as cash (unless

RE: Slow ebay seller

2002-04-18 Thread Paris, Leonard

I paid for an ebay item via Paypal on the 7th of the month. I asked him, on
the 13th, when he was going ship it and his reply was that I should have it
the beginning of this week. I'll give him until next Tuesday and, if I still
don't have it, I'm going to notify PayPal first, to see what they can do,
and then I'll leave appropriate feedback on ebay.

2002-04-18 Thread Ken Archer

I must be ambidextrous. I can put either foot in my mouth. The mail
just arrived and, guess what, my three lenses for $9.95 just arrived.
The SMC Takumar 1:1.8/55 lens I was after is in Mint- condition. The
2X Soligor SM converter will go back on ebay to pay for the package and
I will probably throw the Mamiya lens away unless someone wants it for
price of shipping.
