Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Find out the ip address of the pi. i would go to the router ui to find it. .normally this is at 192.168.1.1 then when you have the pi ip address type that in the browser and see if it brings up the max2play ui. Most people don't go via the tv ui so not sure if what you're seeing is correct or not. Edit..i can see your ip in the picture. .192.168.1.73 i think Giza2020's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36318 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

LMS 7.9.0 on Synology DSM 5.2-5565 doesn't play 24/96 flac files on SB classic and SB Receiver/Duet, suggesting downsampling is not working. No problem playing 24/96 flac files on SB Touch however. I changed the log parameter (from 'erase at start' ticked to unticked) without stopping the bridge first and hit Apply. The bridge stopped and restarted. [SlimDevices: Plugins] SB Player and DSD audio
The latest version of SB Player (1.2.6), which I just published, supports LMS 7.9's ability to stream DSD audio. It can handle both DSF and DFF formats. It plays DSD by converting to it PCM similar to how Squeezelite does it. However the conversion process and the resampling of the resulting 352.8 kHz floating point PCM to something playable in Android is very processor intensive. On my two fastest test devices, a Nexus 7 (2013) and a Nexus 5, only the Nexus 5 can keep up and only if I put an ice pack on it to stop the CPU from throttling. The Nexus 7 seems to be just under the threshold of being able to keep up. If somebody has a current gen high end device, I would really like to know if it can handle the playback without external cooling. -- Squeezebox apps for webOS, Android and Windows Phone, http://www.angrygoatapps.com wt0's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18760 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103674 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I might very well be that your player claim to *not* support aif, so it might require a change on my side. This aif thing is painful because there is confusion between the file format and the audio sample format :( In other words, a player can claim to *not* support AIFF *file* format and only support WAV *file* format, but when sq2u is in the middle, it does not matter as long as the player support uncompressed audio, sq2u does the necessary "transcription" between the raw uncompressed audio that LMS sends and whatever the player accepts LMS 7.7.2 - 5 radio, 3 Boom, 4 Duet, 1 Touch, 1 SB2. The exact transcoding rules of LMS when flc *and* pcm/aif are involved remains a bit a mistery for me, I have to admit. I do not want to start a passionated audiophile debate (I really don't) but volpone, you should hear no difference between flac and wave - this is bit exact matching and asynchronous transmission (i.e. audio data are buffered before being played with local clock, there is no clock transmitted) LMS 7.7.2 - 5 radio, 3 Boom, 4 Duet, 1 Touch, 1 SB2. If I only select AIF native in "files type" I don't have any sound (the track is not played). So it seems I still can not read AIFF native and it is silly to transcode uncompressed AIF to compressed FLAC18069 Chuncked definitively does not work : only "no size (open range) and fixed large size. "No size" is less stable. Concerning transcode from flac to wav at the level of the server seems to improve sound quality. Also when adding or removing synced players live. There is a short break when additional players is syncing to stream but thats okay. Tried turning on and off all but one synced players and no problems. My original stream http://test.live.net.il/glgltz-a-zixief.m3u8 has intermittent rebuffering problems. Having one device which can act as a SB1 and a UPnP player gives me some easy debugging capabilities. Even in SB1 mode 24bit files are only converted to mp3 if the sample rate is greater than 48kHz, which is the max sample rate supported by the Roku. 24bit/44.1kHz and 24bit/48kHz produce silence.
