Compaq Array?

2003-02-27 Thread Kittendorf, Craig
I was asked by a coworker:

Are there drivers available for using a Compaq array instead of IDE drives?

Any one know?
Thanks,
   Craig

RH8.0, Postfix and SpamAssassin problem

2003-01-29 Thread Kittendorf, Craig
I have upgraded to RH 8.0 and am trying to get Postfix and SpamAssassin to
work. When I send email to a user on this machine, I receive lots of
messages like the following:

Permission denied
Failed to run SPAM_PHRASES_040 SpamAssassin test, skipping: (Can't
locate
object method "check_for_spam_phrases_scoring" via package
"Mail::SpamAssassin::PerMsgStatus" at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/Mail/SpamAssassin/PerMsgStatus.pm line
1822.
) Failed to run FREQ_SPAM_PHRASE SpamAssassin test, skipping: (Not an
ARRAY reference at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/Mail/SpamAssassin/PhraseFreqs.pm line 14.
)
Failed to run SPAM_PHRASES_020 SpamAssassin test, skipping: (Can't
locate
object method "check_for_spam_phrases_scoring" via package
"Mail::SpamAssassin::PerMsgStatus" at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/Mail/SpamAssassin/PerMsgStatus.pm line
1822.
)
etc

I don't know what permissions are needed or on what,
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/Mail/SpamAssassin/ ?

Thanks, Craig

RE: Linux front end for exchange server

2003-01-22 Thread Kittendorf, Craig
I've been trying to get this to work without a lot of success yet.
There are some docs here, http://advosys.ca/papers/postfix-filtering.html .

I front-end my exchange server with a linux based sendmail+spamassassin
server. My exchange server does the virus checking.

Since there are multiple MTA's and scanners available that can front-end
your exchange server, I'm not aware of any single install document that fits
your needs. If I were in your shoes, I would probably start by selecting an
MTA (sendmail, postfix, exim, etc...). Then proceed with reading the
selected MTA documentation on how to implement a third party scanner like
Spamassassin and/or Virus checkers.
