Indeed. But IIRC one could force nfs to bind to specific ports. Generally that would be a pain in the proverbial ... However I encountered a situation where it might have been useful. getting nfs working through the firewall
can anyone tell me (or point me to a link) that'll show me how i can get nfs working through ipchains/iptables ? I opened the system settings - security level, and managed to get ssh working. But i dont know how to allow incoming nfs requests.
