[RDD] RDAirPlay - Timed Events Problem
Hello everyone! I have "Make Next" timed events on the beginning of each clock for Top of Hour jingles. Gap time correctly shown for all hours except "23:00 - 00:00". There is "Next Timed Start [---]", So new day's first event is going minutes away. I've also added an empty macro cart timed to 59:59:9 but it's not working for "23:00 - 00:00" too. Re: [RDD] Lenovo BIOS won't install bootable Riv appliance DVD
I followed these steps fairly closely without the benefit of this guide the other day and had to install cdparanioa, codecs, and other components and got to the place where it mostly worked. RDalsaconfig would not launch from the gui and when I ran it from the terminal, it opened but couldn't save it to asound, when I opened a cut in RDlibrary, it gave an RDXport error and would not show much of the audio wave even though it would play it... and probably more that I didn't find. [RDD] Remote Voice Tracking
I've been working on remote voice tracking and have something that sort of works, but have run into a problem I wasn't expecting. When I started out I thought the problem was going to be dealing with massive .WAV files. This was solved by keeping a local copy of /var/snd on the remote computer and using rsync to keep /var/snd in sync with the host (new songs are downloaded from the host and voice track carts are uploaded to the host). What I wasn't anticipating was MySQL connectivity being an issue. I loaded a voice track, just clicked "start", "record", "start", "save" and that generated 9 pages of SQL queries. For example, getting 15 fields from CUTS is 15 queries, not just a single query. Does anyone see any unintended consequences of optimizing the SQL queries for the voice tracking module and possibly pre-loading some of the information rather than doing it in realtime while playing cuts and recording? Other than the annoying pauses caused by these queries, the remote voice tracking works quite well using rsync for all of the heavy lifting. I'm sure smarter heads have already looked at this so I'm reaching out to the list. — Patrick patr...@scnv.net ___ Rivendell-dev mailing list Rivendell-dev@lists.rivendellaudio.org http://caspian.paravelsystems.com/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev

Hi, Sometimes also happens when the apache config hasn't been implemented properly. Only usually on a source install mind. Try copying a working rivendell apache conf from another machine. [RDD] Lenovo BIOS won't install bootable Riv appliance DVD
Starting a new thread to not confuse things Trying to install the Rivendell DVD appliance iso on a new Lenovo i5 small form computer... If I choose UEFI BIOS for the DVD install, it will jump past the Rivendell install options menu to install Centos 6.6 and some components of Riv but Riv will not access it's own database, etc. The hard drive is bootable. If I choose Legacy BIOS for the DVD install, it allows Riv install options, says that it will install it on sdb even though there are no other hard drives, and it will not boot on the hard drive afterward. When I boot it with a live centos cd, it shows the hard drive as sda but the grub folder is empty except for splash.xpm.gz - no device map or other configs. I tried installing grub but can't see a difference - I may not know enough to do it. It's just missing too many components and I need to set up systems that others can easy work with. I've never run into this before. Any last suggestions before I return the lenovo to the store and look for an older machine?
