What are the MUST have skills that you are looking for in a candidate?

• At least 10 years of relevant systems software engineering
experience and a BS/MS in computer science or engineering (or equivalent
professional experience).

• Experience building high-performance, highly-available and
scalable distributed systems.

• Experience building complex software systems that have been
successfully delivered to customers.

• Aggressive Refactoring.

• Experience with service development, REST, HTTP, Groovy,
Java, Spring, NoSQL, XML, JSON.

• Experience with TDD, Agile, Paired Programming.

• Knowledge of and working experience with open source software
(e.g. Apache, Tomcat, Memcache, etc.).

• Experience in configuring new services using HA Proxy and

One position of Senior JAVA Developer is required to work with an existing
team to ensure successful delivery and completion of this project and to
provide electronic case files using the internet for HPHSD users.



Second developer would be involved with enhancements to applications
developed by HSPHD ITRM development group.  These applications are used by
service areas of the department in support of business services.
Applications were developed using JAVA and integrate with other enterprise
supported frameworks, including FileNet P8 and Kofax.  Work will also
consist of migrating applications and content to newer enterprise supported
frameworks.  Part of the development work will be standardizing the
presentation layer of all applications to align with current County
standards regarding web applications and responsive design incorporating
Bootstrap.



*List of Deliverables:* ­

· To implement the dynamic UI pages for a custom P8 solution using
JSF.

· Participating in functional design workshops and refactoring
sessions.

· To assist with design and development of the backend services for
a custom P8 solution using J2EE, Spring, JavaBeans, FileNet P8 API.

· The Developer will serve as a technical team lead for internet
application design.

· Lead design, support & lead development, code for web
applications. Work on user interface and/or services layer design. Support
code migration to production and QA process.

· Participating in functional design workshops

· Translating functional requirements into a detailed architecture
and design

· Contribute to the detailed estimation of development work

· Perform regular code reviews to ensure the high quality of code
delivered

· Coaching and mentoring team members

· Code created will be documented well enough that less experienced
developers will be able to learn and maintain the code.

· Design and develop JAVA user interface pages and controller code
from specifications that will be provided

· The specifications will include user interface wire frames, user
interface requirement document, and a UML diagram

· The code will be accepted after a review by architecture review
team members



*Required Skills*:

Requires knowledge and experience with web application design back-end,
mid-tier and front-end, web services, Java, J2EE, JSP, Hibernate, Log4J,
Struts, Servlet, JUnit, Ant Script, Eclipse, Java Script, SAX, XSLT, XML,
XMLBeans, Schema, SOAP, WSD, SQL, FileNet ECM and FileNet BPM is a plus.
UI framework utilizing Bootstrap and responsive
