[RCSE] Bird Of Time ARF ( Dynaflight) - the truth

2003-09-04 Thread Brett Waltz
Your statement is somewhat true Jerry. THERE IS A DEFECT WITH THE
DYNAFLIGHT BOT ARF!!! So, it doesn't matter if your using a hi-start or a
winch, the wings will fail. I was using a winch, but very very lightly and
my wings failed. The wings should NOT fail under that load. I spoke with
Tower support and they are aware of the defect and are offering refunds to
customers. All you have to do is call Tower Hobbies Customer
Service(1-217-398-0007) and they will send you a paid postage label to send
the remains back in.

Well said Mr Grenoble. Not every tow has to be a zoom tow. It is no
secret that BOT's will fold under high launch loads, They folded 20
years ago under high launch loads. They were designed to be launched
from 6 volt winches and pulsed. That is the kind of winch most people
used then. BOT's fly fine; launch then as they were designed to be
launched to be launched.

2003-09-02 Thread Steve Gibson

Just got off of the phone with Tower Hobbies
Customer Service(1-217-398-0007) about the problems with the Dynaflight BOT ARF
design defect in the wing center section.
Since I bought the plane from Tower, they verified
my purchase via my Tower customer number.  They are sending me a postage
pre-paid sticker where I can send the remains of the plane and they will either
issue you a credit or I believe you can get back in line for the re-designed BOT
(Should be out in 60 days or so).  I don't know if you can just get a
refund.
