Linda. The stimulator works real well when i have turned it on, but when i turn it off it hurts unbearably. I've learned to live with the pain. I am also on other meds at high doses. Where are you from.
[TMIC] FW Imuran Question for Frank
Hi Deb, Thank you for the chuckle! Since I can't really "feel" my legs to shave them, my doctor told me NOT to - and on top of that, she said "we doctors have seen it all" - which I believe they have. And I think you are right - it was a MAN who originally suggested women should shave their legs - and furthermore, I think a MAN did the same thing with BRAS!!! They should try having their boobs constricted all day (I have to admit, when I know I'm not leaving the house, I don't wear a bra!) No offense intended for the kind and sensitive men in the TM Family : - ) You go girl!! Linda in Bothell, WA
[TMIC] TMIC OT COPPER BRACELET
Hi Sally, I have not used the copper bracelet myself, but I do know many people who do - and I've heard they're great. You mentioned you worked at a horse farm - I assume you don't anymore? My job for the last 31 years was writing Mortality and Major Medical insurance for horses - mostly show horses - but also for a lot of mares. I loved my job, and working with people who either owned horses or worked with them were the greatest people to work with! I really miss it - TM finally forced me to "retire" about a year ago - I think I am still "adjusting" Thanks for the info on the copper bracelet. Take care Linda in Bothell, WA
[TMIC] TMIC I HAVE BEEN AWOL
Hello Michael, Welcome back! My name is Linda and I am new in the TM family during the 18 months you were AWOL : - ) We would love to hear your TM story - trials and tribulations. I'm sure your knowledge will be very helpful to all of us. I have had TM for 3.5 years and my lesion is at C 4,5 & 6. I am among the "wobbling wounded" with all the "good" stuff that goes along with that. Looking forward to hearing from. Linda in Bothell, WA
[TMIC] OT Copper bracelet
Hi everybody I just wanted to ask everybody if you had ever used a copper braclet. I will say they work, a lot of people swear by them. When I worked at the horse farm I was going to bed using a heating pad 2 times a week. My co-worker and I went to a mall one night and there was a bracelet. I bought and wore it for the longest time. By the following week I had realized that I had not used the heating pad since I got the bracelet, I think I will put it back on. Take care and have a good day. Love ya all Sally

[TMIC] I HAVE BEEN AWOL!
Hello Everyone, I have been away for the past 18 months. Just needed a break and had to do a little restructuring in my fight with TM. I have missed you guys and look forward to meeting those of you who have come aboard while I was away. I have just celebrated my ninth anniversary with TM. If I can be of help to anyone, please do not hesitate to contact me. I have moved from the mountains of North Carolina back to my birthplace of Montgomery, AL. Roll Tide Roll! I have begun writing a book about the perils, trials, and life of TM. If you have something you would like to see in print, I am open to new and different ideas. I do not propose to be a spokesman for us all, I just have a somewhat unusual story that I want to share with others. Hopefully, I will be able to help someone. Michael
Re: [TMIC] Fw: Imuran Question/Frank
Hi Deb, I've been lucky with the hair loss---in fact, I've grown more hair, and not in the most glamorous of places either. My sideburns would rival any man's. Gunny was teasing me about sending some of his old moustache wax over . :-) I spoke to the neuro's nurse and she told me to just go up in increments of 50 until I hit 200. We're still going to stay on at least 20mgs of prednisone for the next year though. I've got an MRI scheduled in December to check the status of my thoracic and cervical areas. I get monthly liver workups too, not only because of the Imuran, but because of the Tegretol. Thank the powers that be that the Tegretol works for those damnable seizures as I know that I really could not bear to live that way. (Hopping about like a chicken on one leg, with my head a poppin all over the place. GEESH!) I hear you abut those depilatory cremesI once tried Nair in a very sensitive place and was on fire for a week!!! Definitely not for me. Hugs, Grace
RE: [TMIC] Fw: Imuran Question/Frank
I am taking 200 mgs. imuran per day, we did it in increments of 50 as we reduced the pred. by 5's. I'm currently at 10mg pred eod. I have to get my liver levels checked every month. I have no side effects so far, other than weight and hair loss. Unfortunately, the hair loss is from the top of my head, not the face or legs! still have the lovely mustache and chin! wish the hair on my legs would fall out. who knew shaving could create such extreme pain sensations. don't like it, don't look is my motto cuz the dipillatory cremes don't work and I'm not masochistic enough to endure that for looks sake. who was the first idiot to suggest that hairless legs would be attractive? hope HE'S rotting somewhere with long-leggy hairy women who shave HIS legs twice a day! Everyone around me is probably very thankful that the weather is turning cold and I have to wear longer pants.my dos pesos de nada, debc in mi. --- On Thu 10/20, Grace < [EMAIL PROTECTED] > wrote:From: Grace [mailto: [EMAIL PROTECTED]To: tmic-list@eskimo.comDate: Thu, 20 Oct 2005 17:26:11 -0400Subject: [TMIC] Fw: Imuran Question/Frank - Original Message - From: Grace To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, October 20, 2005 5:22 PMSubject: Imuran Question/FrankMy new script gives me the option of bouncing my Imuran up to 200mg per day as opposed to 100mg.
