Re: [TMIC] p.s. Hard lessons to learn

2006-09-17 Thread Natalie Boyles
Medicare of course has its own guidelines as to what they cover and how much they pay. Medicare pays 80% of its ap
proved fees. And, AARP supplimental pays 20% of the medicare approved fees. I have not had any problem with having my bills paid, and I have had a lot of tests, and lots of consults.

I have been very happy with AARP, and it is for me at least a lot cheaper than Blue/Cross Blue/Shield supplimental was and every bit as good, perhaps better
. The AARP plan I have, does not cover presciptions, although AARP has Plan D. That I have through Humana. I do have to pay Medicares annual deductible, but for a bit more I could get an AARP plan that would pay that. I would recommend AARP and Humana. I pay around
$119/mon for AARP and around $17/mon for humana. That to me is really good. Of course I pay the medicare monthly premium also, forget what it is, comes off my check each month(is on medicare website).

Guess I should say that I came to the conclusion to use AARP and humana after requesting information from many of the plans I was eligible for. I went to the medicare website and read through all the plans. Then I picked out what I thought were the best and most affordable looking and sent to them for literature. The medicare site has a lot of information, but to get the full details you need to contact the companies. It is a lot of work, so it is best to start as soon as you can. All and all though, there are so many plans, and some states have different ones, so one probably can never be sure if they have the best plan for them. There are just too many out there, and until you actually would
try them, I doubt you can really tell how good they all. But, what I have is working.

Good luck with your decision. I hope this helps.

Hugs to you too ;)

Hello Rob,

I started writing this to you personally -
but then realized that it is something that I wanted to reiterate to the
group.

I am with you, I don't think I'd ever
unsubscribe either!  No matter what goes on, it's usually petty, and it
always settles back down in a bit.

Please cut out the petty silly e mails and let us be what we aremeant to be
"a support group". Thanks to each and everyone of you for sharing and no matter
what anyone says I will never unsubscribeI will just delete!Love to

2006-09-17 Thread Deborah Nord Capen

Good news from Australia!  The
baby is doing well and may be coming home soon!  If anybody would like a
picture of the baby, please let me know and I will send it to you
privately.  Errol thanks everybody who sent prayers and positive wishes
their way.  Prayers were answered and the nurses at the hospital call him
their "miracle baby".  Below is the update:

Went down to see him again today, he is off all wiring, lines and
plumbing, has three days of antibiotics to go and hopefully on hisway home
soon.   He is looking quite good now. Ten weeks old today. He

So true, lol. Last year, my hubby was on a real downer & went to see his dr
who pronounced the problem as a 'burn-out". Bet if I had seen
him, he would have called it "depression".

To Jill and Linda, I have had these head pains for years prior to tm. They
did all the tests it was vascular headaches.  I was so
relieved. They also thought mine was from a nerve but its not. They
gave me medicine to take for it and it went away. That was years ago then
they stopped for many years. I do not remember the name of the drug I was
in my late twenties.
I am sure there or many new ones now.
I have started getting them again . I told my doctor and he said my
pressure was a little high nothing to worry about I  usually have low blood
pressure was vascular again and stress can bring it on. I do not get it
everyday not on any medicine for it but i see him on the fifth and he will
schedule a  MRI.  I know of that disease and a lady named Shelia
has it also.    I do not know if she is still on the list.
She went to a lot of the conventions they had and was very involved. We worked
together on slogans had one night a week where we picked topics and we discussed
them, it was four of us. later i had many things going on and i dropped off the
list. I hope she is doing ok. Barbara would know from California, she
always says hugs .
I hope this will help you, I am going thru a lot of stress because of
Katrina. my whole family now live in other states. Most of them in OK where one
of my sister lived. they all lived on the water on the gulf coast, only one
rebuilding she is in Covington, about 25 minutes from me but they do have a
Trailor on the property. they all doing fine have opened dollar stores like here
and one has a manicure salon. MY dad lives  with one of my sisters but
sees them all they live all in same area. 1 have 7 brothers and sisters we now
scattered, but i have many places to visit.
My son is in WV where his wife family is but i sure do miss them all and my
grand kids.
So stress can bring this on.I hope you find that is all it is and myself
also but mine is not severe as yours are.
