2008-01-09 Thread ashfordrichard
Very good news Cammy, Does he know that we are looking for his help on this
matter. Understand, that this is all new for me as of now I don't know where we
stand on all of this but I was asked by Sandy to help out on getting this idea
back in peoples heads as far as tmers. And so far as of my first post on this
subject I have had several people who are now showing an interest in developing
this data-base. So basically this is the extent of my involvement. I will
continue to be a sounding board for Sandy and I will keep answering e-mails
from members and reminding them what we are trying to do. This is important and
I will try to do my very best at renewing the interest that Sandy needs. Then I
will be passing this information along to Sandy so he can start putting this
project into motion. Thanks for your help. Rick

Re: [TMIC] Spring newsletter

2008-01-09 Thread ashfordrichard
Todd, I think I would include both Doctors. If one rejects the idea maybe the
other will see the advantage in having this information. The main thing is to
get them involved so this can come into reality. I think for sure the DR. that
is treating you for TM would appreciate the information more than anyone else.
Explain what we're trying to do and assure him that he has nothing to lose and
everything to gain, especially if he treats more than one case of TM. I
explained this to my Dr. on the phone instead of in person because I wanted to
get this information to Sandy as fast as I could. So you may want to just put
in a call to your private Dr. that handles your TM. case. Please, it is
important that we get this underway asap. There are going to be many obsticals
to deal with, and the sooner we get started on this the better. If you have any
ideas on developing this data-base then get in touch with Sandy at your
earliest conveince. Time is of the essence so we need to get cra!
 cking o
n this. From now on direct you mail to Sandy so he can start building or
planning a format. I for one cannot wait to see how this develops. Thank you
Todd, your help will be greatly appreciated. Rick Ashford

Pam,your exactly right. This will be a monster challenge for us to get this
into a working mode. If your Dr hesitates then simply ask him " Dr are you
really wanting to help me or are you just pretending that you want to help.
This will cost you nothing and will give you the latest avaliable information
on TM. There is no way your Doctor can be hurt by accessing this data-base.
WE're talking about something that has never before been offered to any Dr.
Real time instant life saving information at his finger tip." If your Dr.
hesitates or desires not to get involved, then you are probably seeing the
wrong Dr. My Dr. only sees 2 TM patients and she told me that she thinks that
this would pave the way for her to get vital information necessary for my
treatment. She did not hestitate to give me everything about her contact
information. She is a hard case but being a very good and caring Dr. she told
me that this is exactly what she needs in order to better understand just what
w!
 e are d
ealing with in the world of a TMer. Pam it will take alot to get this working.
Dr. Kerr and his staff must get involved also Because he and his research team
are the key, We have got to find a way to get our latest information into this
data-base. I'm sure Sandy will figure all of this out but we all have to talk
to our DRs. and get them involved or this will never materialize. Everyon here
has to put on their thinking caps and work together as a team or this will not
work. But it can and will work. Impossible needs to be a word that no longer
exists in our vocabulary. Thanks Rick

Thanks Jenna , This is what its going to take. Like I say, considering what all
will be involved in this project Its going to take some good minds to come up
with something that will be an educated source and a wealth of information. So
we are going to need everyones help on this. Rick

I can't seem to locate Allen Rucker's email address, and would appreciate it
if anyone who attended the fundraiser/get-together in San Francisco in
December would let me know how it all turned out. There may have been some
information on the list, but I haven't been able to read anything about it.
