Hi Dan, Happy Fathers Day!

It's so good to hear from you. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and
feelings for Pam with us. It helps to keep us close. I hope you will feel
comfortable staying in touch with us, it helps us to know how you are doing,
and I know it would warm Pam's heart to know that our special friendships
continue.

Will you still be seeing the grandkids the middle of July? I've seen pictures,
and Dan, you and Pam have a beautiful family. Your time with them will always
be treasured.

Ok Dan, if Pam said to watch MAMMA MIA she meant it! And you'll love it,
especially because of Pam.

Please drop by and let us know how you're doing. You are a part of Pam and
it's nice to be able to hold on to that.

Love and Prayers,
LindaTIAD

I JUST WANT. TO THANK THE TM ASSOCIATION FOR SENDING ME A CARD OF SYMPAYHY.
IT WAS GREATLY APPRECIATED. I WANTED TO THANK LINDA C. FOR HER WONDERFUL CARD
WITH A BEAUTIFUL LETTER IN IT. THEY REALLY TOUCHED ME. I JUST PUT ON AN ELVIS
MOVIE FOR PAM AND MYSELF. (VIVA LAS VEGAS WITH ANN MARGRET). SHE LIKED MOST OF
THEM AND WE HAVE A HAND FULL OF HIS MOVIES. I PACKED UP ALOT OF MOVIES BUT I
DID KEEP MAMA MIA-SHE SAID I HAD TO WATCH IT FOR SURE. I ERASED THE NAMES OF
HER FRIENDS IN THE MAIL LIST SHE HAD. I DID NOT DO THIS TO BE MEAN OR UGLY
NASTY ETC. I DID IT BECAUSE I DID NOT WANT TO CONTACT PEOPLE WHEN MAYBE ITS NOT
A GOOD IDEA. I FIGURED I WOULD KEEP AN EYE OPEN ON THE LETTERS COMING IN FROM
PEOPLE ON TMIC. IF A LETTER IS DIRECTED ABOUT PAM OR MYSELF I WOULD RESPOND
BACK THAT WAY. 2ND TRY AT THE LITTLE CHAPEL TODAY THAT PAM LOVED. IT WAS
8:00AM AND IT WAS LOCKED. WELL I SAW SOME MEN WAITING FOR THE CHURCH TO OPEN
AND HAVE (SAY) MASS AT 9:00. 1-MAN SAID WE ARE WAITING AND HOPING SOMEONE WILL
OPEN THE NOW NEW ASSERY CHURCH HELD IN A BLDG. THE OLD CHURCH WAS TORN DOWN
FROM KATRINA. IT SITS ON A BAYOU. VERT BEAUTIFUL SITE. LIL CHAPLE AND MAYBE A
NEW CHURCH. SO I SAID A PRAY AND LEFT. ON SUNDAY THEY HAVE 2-MASSES-9-11
AM-WELL I LEARNED THAT MUCH TODAY. I MUST GET INTO THE CHAPEL AND BURN SOME
CANDLES FOR PAM AND THE FAMILY. I SAID TO MYSELF COMING HOME I WILL GO NEXT
SUNDAY AND LEAVE FOR 10:00 AND ALL SOULD BE WELL.. I PULLED UP IN THE DRIVEWAY
AND BOOM A GREAT IDEA HIT FROM OUT OF NOWHERE. WHY CAN'T I GO TO NEXT SUNDAYS
MASS AT 9:00AM IT ABOUT 10 MILES OR SO AWAY BUT I COULD GIVE THAT CHURCH WELL
NEED MONEY ALTHOUGH SMALL AS IT MAY BE AND THEN GO AND LITE THE CANDLES.
THANKS PAM I KNOW SHE PUT THAT INTO MY HEAD. I WILL TRY HARD TO DO IT. MY
CHURCH IS ONLY A 1/2 MILE FROM HOME BUT THIS CHURCH NEEDS THE MONEY. ITS A
LONELY FATHERS DAY BUT I STILL CHAT TO PAM AND WE HAVE THE MOVIE. IT'S A COLD
COLD BEER DAY TODAY LOL. WILL BE ABOUT 97 DEGREES ALL WEEK HERE. MY NEIGHBOR
HAS SOME GIFTS FROM PAM FOR ME AND I TOLD HIM I WOULD GET THEM FROM HIM TODAY
.HOWEVER HE IS A GONE PECAN RIGHT NOW. WAITING FOR SON TO CALL ME I GUESS
AFTER HIS SHIFT IS OVER AS A COP. HEY SON DO NOT GIVE THOSE DAD TICKETS TODAY!
GUYS HAVE A GREAT FATHERS DAY AND LADIES THANKS FOR YOUR EAR.

As a caretaker/mother of a daughter who has had TM for 4 years now; this
saddens me to read this. I am also a member of the one Yahoo TM site b/c
for me it seems like it involves more children than adults and I can identify
more with their issues. Since my daughter was inflicted at the age of 11
and is now 15 ½, I get lots of answers from the other site but also stay on
this one b/c I want to know what the future may hold for my
daughter as an adult. I know that we& ALL have been saddened by the
passing of Pam but this should not be a time to bicker and a time for people to
quit the site b/c they feel as though they are traitors for checking out
another site. There have been numerous times that I have tried to unsubscribe
and for some reason, it never works. Maybe I am supposed to stay on this
site for another reason. I know I don’t write very much and maybe this
email will just be taken with a grain of salt. Fortunately, my daughter seems
to have a much lighter case of TM than a lot of others on this site. With
that in mind, I still continue to read everyone’s emails b/c they make me
feel so much more blessed that my daughter didn’t get inflicted as badly as
others although she does deal with one or two of the symptoms. I can’t
imagine what most of you feel on a daily basis with the pain, fatigue, banding,
sweats, cold feelings etc. My daughter hasn’t had any pain, other than at
onset, and that was more of the tingling than anything. She is the typical
15 year old and walks, with assistance through high school every day (except
for now b/c school is over) and she still hangs out with her friends, she
helps me around the house and she even babysits the 4 year old and 1 year
old boys next door. She was confined to her wheelchair at one time but
thanks to Dr. Kerr for helping us get into the Kennedy Krieger Institute for
Spinal Cord Injuries, she has been walking for about 2 years. Time has flown
by over the last 4 years that it is hard to remember life before TM. I
hope that everyone continues to stay on this site b/c it is full of great
information and great people that are willing to answer any question that is
ever asked. No one judges anyone for asking questions.

of cold?I really have a problem with heat - especially with
humidity. I get hot, then weak. Not good.

2. Several of you have mentioned the tight "band" around your body. I
am not sure this band is in the same place for
everyone. Also, has there been any change in the band with those of
you who have had TM for a long time?

I am right in there with you guys. So hot all the time - even with my
clonidine patch. Doc is getting a call in the morning
to do something about this. Has been a got weekend even though I spent my
time in cool places. Janice

Jeanne I apologize I didn't reply to this before todayI am in the
process of moving..and have been looking for a cute little cabin..
It sure is a mess isn't it?...I am so tired of being so hot all the
time..sheese were I live it doesn't get very hot, but to me it is burning me
up.. " It's pouring down wet old sweat! "..LOL that's cuteI think of it in
the same way...it starts on my scalp and I can feel it run all way down to my
bra...then nothing..I haven't gotten really cold here yet.
I am interested in the bra you are saying here?...were do you get
it?...sorry guys! LOLI have been wearing sports bra's because the band hits
me in a different spot.
How are your legs?...can you walk?

My injury is the exact same area as yours, Debi, and since it happened
my thermometer hasn't worked right. I didn't used to seat hardly at all and
now right out of the blue, sweat just pours down my face and chest! It's not
pretty sweat. It's pouring down wet old sweat! I also wake almost every night
and have to take the blankets off of me because I'm so warm. During the day, I
get hot and cold so I never know!

I did find I have to wear a special kind of bra that doesn't cause too
much pressure under my breasts due to the 'band'. It can be so horribly
painful and I have found a brand of bra that seems to help. They are the
Lilyette and the fabric is wonderful against the skin. You can get them with
support or not.

Time to go.. I hope this helped a little??? Jeanne

Hi Janice
I get very hot when it is only in the 70 or 80's for no reason I can
just be on the computer or watching TV and I will get real hot so much that I
sweat a lot..(I soak my blouse) but I only sweat on my face neck and
breasts..my lesion is at nipple level T4 my banding is where my bra
snaps...so it feels like my bra is way to tight.
In the cold weather I get more spastic and tight it hurts to bend knees
and ankles. I still have the banding in winter too...and if my husband puts
the furnace up to high I will over heat...I love to go out in the snow with
just what I have on and bear foot and watch all the steam come off me..its a
riot...

This is Janice,

I have 2 questions:

1. With hot weather coming, do any of you have a problem with all of a
sudden being really hot? I know some
of you had a problem with the cold last winter, but does your body
change in summer and you get hit with being hot instead
of cold?I really have a problem with heat - especially with
humidity. I get hot, then weak. Not good.

but this is the first song I was ever on. Yeah, I was thr original drummer way
back in 1959. There's only two originals here on this tape. Marshall Sewel on
the lft, and Harry Green the guy with the galsses and the white hair, next to
Marshall. This is the PBS broadcast.YouTube - The Edsels - Rama Lama Ding Dong

Well Gunny...I'm part of the group that didn't know. You are a man of many
talents I guess..
I do know that the Edsels were from Youngstown so I see this all makes sense.
How cool this is...I'm so glad you posted this. I love Doo-Wop anyway, but to
know that I'm in the presence of a celebrityI'm honored.

So, by the way...when are we ever gonna be able to get together..? We just
had a nice dinner get together of the three of us and spouses here in Canton
with TM. It would be nice to add to that and have a bit of a "party".
Let me know and maybe we can start coordinating with Sue over your way and
Ellie up in Elyria and have a N.E. Ohio group.
  Take care and be well,

[TMIC] PAM AND CARDS

2009-06-21 Thread MontzMagic
I JUST WANT. TO THANK THE TM ASSOCIATION FOR SENDING ME A CARD OF
SYMPAYHY. IT WAS GREATLY APPRECIATED. I WANTED TO THANK LINDA C. FOR HER
WONDERFUL
CARD WITH A BEAUTIFUL LETTER IN IT. THEY REALLY TOUCHED ME. I JUST PUT ON
AN ELVIS MOVIE FOR PAM AND MYSELF. (VIVA LAS VEGAS WITH ANN MARGRET). SHE
LIKED MOST OF THEM AND WE HAVE A HAND FULL OF HIS MOVIES. I PACKED UP ALOT OF
MOVIES BUT I DID KEEP MAMA MIA-SHE SAID I HAD TO WATCH IT FOR SURE. I
ERASED THE NAMES OF HER FRIENDS IN THE MAIL LIST SHE HAD. I DID NOT DO THIS TO
BE MEAN OR UGLY NASTY ETC. I DID IT BECAUSE I DID NOT WANT TO CONTACT
PEOPLE WHEN MAYBE ITS NOT A GOOD IDEA. I FIGURED I WOULD KEEP AN EYE OPEN ON
THE
LETTERS COMING IN FROM PEOPLE ON TMIC. IF A LETTER IS DIRECTED ABOUT PAM
OR MYSELF I WOULD RESPOND BACK THAT WAY. 2ND TRY AT THE LITTLE CHAPEL
TODAY THAT PAM LOVED. IT WAS 8:00AM AND IT WAS LOCKED. WELL I SAW SOME MEN
WAITING FOR THE CHURCH TO OPEN AND HAVE (SAY) MASS AT 9:00. 1-MAN SAID WE
ARE WAITING AND HOPING SOMEONE WILL OPEN THE NOW NEW ASSERY CHURCH HELD IN A
BLDG. THE OLD CHURCH WAS TORN DOWN FROM KATRINA. IT SITS ON A BAYOU. VERT
BEAUTIFUL SITE. LIL CHAPLE AND MAYBE A NEW CHURCH. SO I SAID A PRAY AND
LEFT. ON SUNDAY THEY HAVE 2-MASSES-9-11 AM-WELL I LEARNED THAT MUCH TODAY. I
MUST GET INTO THE CHAPEL AND BURN SOME CANDLES FOR PAM AND THE FAMILY. I SAID
TO MYSELF COMING HOME I WILL GO NEXT SUNDAY AND LEAVE FOR 10:00 AND ALL
SOULD BE WELL.. I PULLED UP IN THE DRIVEWAY AND BOOM A GREAT IDEA HIT FROM OUT
OF NOWHERE. WHY CAN'T I GO TO NEXT SUNDAYS MASS AT 9:00AM IT ABOUT 10
MILES OR SO AWAY BUT I COULD GIVE THAT CHURCH WELL NEED MONEY ALTHOUGH SMALL
AS
IT MAY BE AND THEN GO AND LITE THE CANDLES. THANKS PAM I KNOW SHE PUT
THAT INTO MY HEAD. I WILL TRY HARD TO DO IT. MY CHURCH IS ONLY A 1/2 MILE FROM
HOME BUT THIS CHURCH NEEDS THE MONEY. ITS A LONELY FATHERS DAY BUT I STILL
CHAT TO PAM AND WE HAVE THE MOVIE. IT'S A COLD COLD BEER DAY TODAY LOL.
WILL BE ABOUT 97 DEGREES ALL WEEK HERE. MY NEIGHBOR HAS SOME GIFTS FROM PAM
FOR ME AND I TOLD HIM I WOULD GET THEM FROM HIM TODAY .HOWEVER HE IS A
GONE PECAN RIGHT NOW. WAITING FOR SON TO CALL ME I GUESS AFTER HIS SHIFT IS
OVER AS A COP. HEY SON DO NOT GIVE THOSE DAD TICKETS TODAY! GUYS HAVE A
GREAT FATHERS DAY AND LADIES THANKS FOR YOUR EAR.
DANTIAD ---PAM---LOVE YOU PAM!!!

[TMIC] Fathers Day,

2009-06-21 Thread CJBJWB
Yesterday when I got to the hospital they told me that Jim had breathed for
an hour on his own that morning. As you can imagine that was the best news
I have heard.in a long time. I am not sure what that means in the scheme
of things (moving him or not etc.) but it sure gives me hope! They will
decide tomorrow morning. I will pack tonite when I get home from there,I went
to church and Eric and Cindy and girls went there this am and are now on
there way home to Kzoo.Jodi and Dave have been there this afternoon and may be
gone by the time I get there. Jim needs to rest and I will sit quietly in
his room ready to smile and blow him kisses, when, he wakes up. Keep the
prayers coming. Til next time. carol and jim
