Yes, you are right, there are some good hearted people - example: I was
hobbling with my cane into a diner a while back, in the teeming rain.
One such person stood in the pouring rain, holding the door until I got
there and got in. And this is in New York!

Natalie,

So far the Lyrica is working ok. I had to back off on the dosage to 2 -
75mg a day. I still deal with a little of the burning sensations, but I
think that I might have rushed into the full dosage and could probably up
the dosage to 150mg twice a day now. Anyone else have this problem?

I just figured Lyrica was "another" drug similar to neurontin. But, from
what I have been reading it appears this drug is better tolerated. So, for
those taking it, could you let me know if it makes you feel like your
drugged and spacey or not? I hate my spasms, but cannot find anything,
that

I can take all of the time. Neurontin works for me, but when I take it I
have no brain. And, I have problems with other drugs or doctor will not
prescribe or on an on. Would be nice to find something that would work and
still permit me to function, mentally. Yesterday, I spent half the day in
bed spasing away until the valium, darvocet and neurontin took effect.
Hate

days like that.

The only side effect I have found is that it somewhat weakens my

Greetings from Montreal where it is sunny and warm- a beautiful morning!~!

I just came off of Lyrica. I was on 75 mg QHS X 1 week, then 75 mg BID
for two weeks.

Strange mild headaches and "hotflashes" occurred, but the gogginess and
profound muscle weakness in my large muscle groups, Thighs and shoulders,
really scared me. I followed Dr's. instructions and took every last pill.
I have returned to my previous medical state, and will not take Lyrica any
more.

I believe that Lyrica mmay be closely related to Neurontin.

Take care

I take 200 mg lyrica 3 times a day.  I was taking 1200 mg 3 times a
day.  I am maxed out on spasm meds.  30mg baclofen 3x, zanaflex 3x and
valium and can't go up anymore.  I am paraylyzed from the waist down and
now recovering from a flap surgery to close a pressure sore so I hope that when
it heals my spasms get better and I can go down on meds.  I don't have
feeling except for the nerve pain so it affects me differently.  I did have
those dreaded headaches when I came off the neurontin but look at the amount I
was taking..lol
