RE: [TMIC] OT: sorry...
Go for Lactulose. One thing, it will make you more gazzy, but it will make the bowl softer and easy to come out. Good feabers and frute will help also, but I use it already for more then 10 years and it really does the job. Try prunes vs juice or raisins. Try apple juice. I can't do caffeine anymore, but coffee used to help. I am a nonmeateater--- mostly veg, always whole grain, but as i am paralyzed and in a wheelchair, everything is slower than ever. I am also lactose intolerant. So my go to solution is Osoy-- a soy yoghurt But were i not lactose intolerant, yogurt would be the ticket. Probiotics are available in pill form-- I haven't used them, but they may help. Akua --
Re: [TMIC] OT: sorry...and thank you all
Dear Patti and everyone, I want to thank you all for your kind replies. A lot of my bathroom issues are stress related, besides tm and the stress it causes. I am trying to get a handle on the stress..easier said than done. I greatly appreciate all of your suggestions. Wishing everyone Happy Holidays! normally good advice but they can't prescribe something the drug companies haven't developed. Hi Kevin, You are certainly not a bother! I do believe that this is why this list exists! To answer these types of questions and be a support to one another. I highly suggest you ask you doctor write a script to see a rehab nurse who can help you develop a bowel management routine. Not very pleasant I'm afraid, but it's guaranteed to work.
