OUTSIDE OF FLINT. I KNOW IN THE PAST SHE ASKED THAT WE DO NOT DO ANYTHING
LIKE THAT AT THIS TIME. BUT, SHE MAY HAVE CHANGED HER MIND NOW.

I SPOKE WITH DAVE AND JUDE YESTERDAY. SHE WENT ALL THE WAY BY AMBULANCE TO
GO TO SEE HER DOCTOR.WHEN SHE GOT THERE SHE ONLY SAW HIS NURSE. THEY
CHATTED BUT JUDE WAS FURIOUS. SHE TOLD ME THEY DID NOT CHECK HER SORES THEY DID

NOTHING.IT IS SO PAINFUL FOR JUDE AND SHE HAS TO PAY NOW TO GO BY AMBULANCE
TO GET TO A DOCTOR.
SHE TOLD ME SHE IS JUST NOT CAPABLE TO TELL HER DOCTORS, NURSES ETC WHAT
SHE THINKS OF HER TREATMENT.
I HAVE SPOKEN TO HER DOCTORS AND NURSES WHEN SHE WAS IN THE HOSPITAL AND A
HOME, BUT I AM JUST OUTSIDE OF NEW ORLEANS, SO HER BEING IN MICHIGAN ITS
HARD TO REALLY GET IN THE NURSES AND DOCTORS FACES. I WAS A PHYS NURSE AND I
DEALT WITH SOME CRAZY PHYCIATRISTS AND REGULAR DOCTORS.
ITS ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE. IF WE GO SOCIALIZED MEDS WE ARE GOING TO BE IN
 BAD SHAPE.
I HOPE THE US PEOPLE DO NOT WANT IT.
I DO UNDERSTAND THAT INSURANCE IS SO EXPENSIVE, I HAD NO MEDICAL INSURANCE
FOR YEARS, NO ONE WOULD COVER ME. THATS WHEN I GOT TM, BEFORE THAT I HAD
GREAT INSURANCE.
THERE HAS TO BE AWAY THAT WE CAN LEAVE THE GOVERMENT OUT OF OUR MEDICAL
SYSTEM.
I KNOW SO MANY PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO INSURANCE AND SOME WHO DO ITS BREAKING
THEM LITERALLY.
I SPOKE TO MY DOCTORS ABOUT IT, THEY TOLD ME I WOULD ALWAYS BE SEEN BY THEM
AND IF I HAD TO GO INTO THE HOSPITAL THEY WOULD GET ME IN.
HERE SO MANY OF OUR DOCTORS LEFT AFTER KATRINA HIT. WE HAVE MORE HOSPITALS
OPENING BUT WE NEED CHARITY HOSPITAL TO REOPEN. I KNOW LA HAS BAD
POLITICIANS, NOT ALL BUT WAY TO MANY.THE PUBLIC HERE ARE FIGHTING BACK, ITS
ABOUT
TIME.
THATS WHAT WE HAVE TO DO WITH THE MEDICAL SYSTEM, MY DOCTOR TOLD ME HE
SPENDS SO MUCH TIME TALKING TO INSURANCE COMPANIES ABOUT WHY HE HAS NOT
RELEASED SOME OF HIS PATIENTS I WAS ONE OF THE BIG PROBLEM CASE. A DOCTOR
KNOWS IF
HE IS A GOOD DOCTOR HOW LONG HIS PATIENT NEEDS TO BE IN THE HOSPITAL. MY
DOCTORS FIGHT FOR ME AND THEIR OTHER PATIENTS, I GET TO STAY LONGER BECAUSE
I HAVE TM ON A BLOOD THINNER AND IF MY LEGS DO NOT MOVE I HAVE TO STAY.ITS
VERY SCARY.
I AM ON DISABILITY HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS. I DO NOT KNOW WHY SO MANY LIKE JUDE
 HAS BEEN TURNED DOWN.
TODAY MY CASE MANAGER IS COMING TO SEE ME. THEY HAD A HUGE MEETING, THEY
WENT UP ON OUR DRUGS , STOPPED WATER AQUATICS PT UNTIL THE END OF THIS MONTH.
I HAVE A POOL BUT NOT THE WATER FLOWING ONE. I ONLY DRIVE AROUND AREAS
WHERE I DO NOT HAVE TO GET ON THE INTERSTATE. ITS TO DANGEROUS, I HAVE
REOCURRING TM, I CAN BE OK AND THEN I GET THE WARNING SIGN MY LEFT LEG WILL
STOP
THEN MY RIGHT I DO NOT WANT TO CHANCE HURTING ANYONE NOR MYSELF.
I HOPE THE MEETING WENT WELL, I DO NOT TAKE ALOT OF MEDS, BUT OTHERS DO AND
 ARE ON A FIXED INCOME.
I HOPE FOR ALL OF US THAT SOMETHING IS DONE, BUT LET THE DOCTORS DO THERE
JOB, NOT A RECEPTIONIST DICTATATE TO THEM WHEN THEY HAVE TO DISCHARGE A
PATIENT.
EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE GOOD HEALTH CARE, BUT THE INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE
BEING TOLD WHAT TO DO AND SO MANY PEOPLE WILL NOW BE SEEING NURSE PRACTITIONERS
 INSTEAD OF DOCTORS.
THIS IS AMERICA LETS FIGHT THIS TOGETHER FOR US TO HAVE GOOD MEDICAL CARE
AND GET
THE INSURANCE RATES LOW AND IF POSSIBLE HARDLY PAY A THING.
WE ALL HAVE WORKED FOR IT AND THE WARS MEN WOMAN FOUGHT FOR THIS COUNTRY TO
BE THE LAND OF THE FREE AND BRAVE, THEY STILL ARE.
SORRY BUT WHEN IT COMES TO A DEAR FRIEND LIKE JUDE, LINDA SO MANY IT JUST
REALLY ANNOYS ME!!!
GOD BLESS US ALL TIAD
PAM!!!

Hello Everyone,

It has been some time since I posted to the List, so some
of you may not know who I am. I have been off-line because of some bad
pressure ulcers on my behind that ended up going all the way to the bone and I
had to have surgery to repair them. I can now sit up for short periods of
time...long enough to use my laptop for the first time.

Thanks to all of you who sent cards, gifts and Prayers
during the time I was in the hospital and home recuperating.

I have had strange sensations up and down my legs since the
surgery, and have even thought I was getting feeling and possibly movement
back, but nothing has been lasting more than a few moments.

The docs have just given me permission to sit in my
wheelchair for one hour in the morning and once in the evening. I am taking PT
three times a week to build up my upper body so that transferring will be
easier.

Shoot...I've been up a while, answered several emails and
read everything on the List that I have been missing out on, and now I find
myself too tired and in too much pain to continue this at this time.

I will finish this later. My love and Prayers go out to
all of you.

May God keep you safe,
continue being your resting place,
and may He keep giving us reason to Hope
in our recovery.

Hey Jude!!

So glad to see your mail show up!!  Sounds like you're
making good progress.and having some movement
may just be the beginning..keep up the pt!!  I started
my road to walking with only being able to wiggle toes
on one footat 12+ years I still get a new sensation from
time to time.so who knows???
Don't know how much this had to do with my recovery,
but my older daughter brought me a crystal angel and
placed her where the sun could shine through her onto
my feetand we do believe in angels, both spiritual
and human..I know that angels have been with me
at times that I had special needs, their presence keeps
me in a positive mode!!
Keep up the good work and update us as you're able.
