Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Announce: Enhanced Digital Output app - USB Dac and 192k Digital Ouput
You can add the Asus Xonar Essence One to the list of working high speed usb dacs. Earlier troubles I had was because I used a usb to cat5 extender, but this one is not compatible with usb 2.0. Now the computer placed near the dac it's working fine in all resolutions over usb and spdif. I have no Linux desktop machine. Under Win7 works OK (however, Asus driver installed) In /proc/asound/ only files with size 0 for card0 to card3, can't find stream0 details PietB's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39880 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94512 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

My Arcam rDac doing fine. Another dac (Asus Xonar Essence One highspeed usb-2 dac/headamp) gives some sound over usb, but the sound is distorted and very slow, what could be the solution? Great work indeed Triode ! With high speed usb hub 2.0 is playing fine over the Arcam rDac for a few hours now, no hickups or dropouts. No high speed usb hub, tried hires 96000 hz now and is playing fine, no hickups Only resetted the touch and rDac before playing. playing another song and switching to 16 bit 44, hickups Switching back to 24/96 agan playing fine, also 24/88 Info menu for the dac shows the correct frequencies -- PietB PietB's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39880 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93310 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Still no luck for me too, all possibilities tried and no sound at all. Yep, the same result as mine, perhaps John S. Is willing to take a look at the Arcam rDac when he's got some spare time When playing directly from my laptop to the rDac usb input the sound is far more better then the coax input on the rDac. Well, I really don't know how come but I hear difference in sound dynamics when I play from 7.6 sb server on Win7 laptop or 7.6 sb server from Qnap 219P (ssots) with same settings and both wired with cat 5e where I prefer the nas. -- PietB PietB's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39880 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=84742 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
