[SlimDevices: Touch] Power Supply

2011-08-20 Thread alexlark

Hi, Ive got a spare power adaptor that i want to use with the touch. its
rated at 5v 3A. Ive measured the output of this adaptor with a
multimeter and its approx 5.10V to 5.20. The touch powers up and works
fine. all i want to know is if this is ok to use? i dont want to stress
the touch and possibly damage it. thanks! Alex

I would love to have the Touch hard wired but it's the location. Every
other device I use (Wii, WDTV Live, PC etc) is hard wired. I really did
use the Touch on WIFI as a last resort. It's been streaming fine with
the increase in signal anyway :-)

I see. I think I'll redo mine in MP3Tag. Shouldn't take too long.
Thanks for your comments!

For a twin CD, for example, do you number the discs 1 and 2 or 1/2 and
2/2 ?

I use the latter and could not get it to work correctly until I added
an extended tag called COMPILATION and set its value to 1. I did this
for all my multi disc sets and it worked.

Just wondering if this is why it did not work for me.

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Newbie with Questions for the Experts

I've noticed that the SB Touch can be a bit fussy with the WIFI signal.
My signal was dropping to abot 30-40% and playback was getting
interupted (no other devices using WIFI). I set up another router in
the same room as the Touch, configured as an access point and wired
into the main router. My signal is now at the 70% mark and playback is
flawless :-)
