I think I might try and tackle an alternative NowPlaying view, instead of a modifying the existing one, or create a totally new skin. I noticed that Pandora appropriates the Shuffle and Repeat buttons for use in Thumbs Up/Down actions, and I'd hate to force people (myself included) to lose those. -Dan -- plympton plympton's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12955 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77767 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

I suspect the main difference is that I started out using the actual Squeezeplay file, and then SCP'd it to my Touch. In hindsight, I suppose I should have more-or-less done the reverse, and brought the files over first, edited, tested, and sent them back. Live and learn... I think it still does the same thing but feel free to check it and if those conflicting parts really need to be there we can add specific versions for each firmware version. I suspect the conflict was caused by that you started developing on an early 7.5.1 version and then created the patch file based on the latest 7.5.1 version, the result is that your original patch basically removed some of the changes made by Logitech recently in 7.5.1. The updated patch file is found here: http://erlandapplets.googlecode.com/svn/PatchInstaller/trunk/patches/FatFingerSkin/FatFingerSkin.patch End users will of course install it through the third party Patch Installer applet. Also, the images wasn't stored inside the "images" sub directory in your zip so I've moved those inside a "images" directory too. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info) (Install my plugins through Extension Downloader) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library, Title Switcher and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.isaksson.info/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77767 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] FatFinger Skin for Touch
Just checked. I am using the touch skin full-time, as I like it better. But this is the Touch skin (WQVGASmall, to be exact), so it doesn't touch the IR skin at all. The different skins are completely hard coded for the most part, so it's a lot of trial-and-error changing values, etc. PS: Erland tells me this patch might be 7.5.1+ only, as it failed on his 7.5 machine. Buyer beware, you get what you pay for, etc. -Dan -- plympton plympton's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12955 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77767 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Nice. Is the screen dump a Touch mode pic (assuming)? Or is it an IR mode pic and if not what happens when I use the Touch in IR mode? [SlimDevices: Touch] FatFinger Skin for Touch
I played a bit with my Touch today to modify the NowPlaying screen to better suit my fat fingers - I made the buttons the same size as the Home button, and got rid of the Shuffle and Repeat buttons. Attached is a Zip file with the patch necessary (or just the changed LUA file), as well as 2 modified PNG files for the skin.
