I have a similar problem. After instaling latest firmware on the touch, the wimp artwork has disappeared from the main menu. Technically yes, but Logitech would need to pay a lot of money to license an artwork provider. It is, when/if the station provides it, almost none do. Most simply show their station logo, some display the current show info including a pic of the host/DJ. There is a way to get CustomClock screensaver to work with LastFM to get band images. I use this with my now-playing screen on my Radio. There is only a single station that I know of that provides artwork (Radio Paradise). [SlimDevices: Touch] Internet Radio Artwork?
I've noticed that on some of the internet radio stations I use on my Squeezebox touch that only default artwork (usually the same as the icon from the station selection list) shows up. I tried a different app on my iPad for listening to internet radio on the same station and the cover for the current song shows up in it. Is squeezebox not compatiable with all forms of artwork from these stations? If you use erland's Custom Clock screensaver/helper, it's possible to setup a screensaver which then can use LastFM images. I added to my Radio "now playing" screensaver. I've got it setup to alternate between the album art, and LastFM artist images. The result is if I play a radio stream where I don't get artwork (the "album art"), I still usually get images from the LastFM artist images. It's not perfect in this case - I still see the radio icon, but at least I still get some interesting images. Have you tried adding your favourite stations using the main search engine, instead of shoutcast? Not sure, but I can say that on my end, I can't get album art on radio free colorado (just tried it; nice 192kbs stream though for classic rock!). I do get artwork with radioparadise. And this is not TOUCH related. For radiofreecolorado, I can't get artwork with the touch, controller, squeezeplay, or ipeng. [SlimDevices: Touch] Internet radio artwork missing
Just got myself a Touch a couple of days ago and it is a very nice little beast. Lovin' it except for one thing. I have a lot of shoutcast stations in my favorites and only one shows the artwork, that being Radio Paradise. The favorites are stored via mysqueezebox.com I know the others stream the artwork because I have previously seen this using winamp and foxy tunes where the artwork shows up. An example is Radio Free Colorado and Radio Free Phoenix. I have the latest firmware running on the Touch as it updated a few days ago when I first connected with my new Touch.
