[Bug 386080] Re: Banshee places podcasts on the MUSIC folder (sansa fuze)

2009-06-16 Thread Joshua Blount
Thanks very much for taking the time to report this bug! It sounds like
it would be quite frustrating to have podcasts in the wrong folder after
a sync with your media player.

I'm marking this as invalid for the hundredpapercuts because it is not
going to effect a significant majority of Ubuntu users (see this blog
post http://blog.davebsd.com/2009/06/15/calling-all-paper-cutters/ for
details). The problem is absolutely valid for the Banshee project
though, so I'm keeping that status to new so that it will be triaged
appropriately.

Thanks again!

[Bug 349255] Re: Green webcam capture on isight

2009-04-11 Thread Joshua Blount
gstreamer-properties appears to just be a nice front end for gconf-
editor

run gconf-editor and go to system system gstreamer default and
change the setting for videosrc

(Note that this did not fix it for me, my setting in this box reads
v4l2src device=/dev/video0 ! videoscale and I'm still getting green
video in every application)

I've actually just reinstalled from a formatted drive Jaunty, and I'm

[Bug 281314] [NEW] Keyboard and Mouse not recognized on GDM login screen (but can ctrl+alt+F1 to get to a terminal)

[Bug 276594] Re: New default Intrepid wallpaper is green

2008-10-03 Thread Joshua Blount
While I appreciate that everyone wants to voice their opinion, it seems
we've come to the consensus that the wallpaper is not quite up to par
with how we feel about Ubuntu.

Perhaps at this point it would be more valuable to spend our time
hacking around in GIMP or Inkscape to produce some better options,
rather than repeatedly agreeing that this wallpaper isn't quite up to
par.

Please don't take this as anything other than a constructive suggestion,
and of course feel free to disagree; however I won't be able to respond
because I'll be spending my freetime working on Ubuntu wallpapers. :)

[Bug 259545] [NEW] f-spot crashes when attempting to close after unsuccessfully opening a psd

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: f-spot

I've got a very vanilla Hardy 64 install, and my wife was using the web
interface to gmail on Firefox 3:

1. click on a download link to download a .psd file a friend sent her
2. double click in the firefox 3 download window to open the file in the
default application
3. F-Spot opens, but does not successfully load the .psd
4. Upon realizing F-Spot would not open previously mentioned .psd, she clicked
