There were some changes to the NID detection recently, so it might make sense
to try a snapshot:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules - can you please
do that and retry, and report back if everything is now working?
Also if you're not the original bug reporter, also attach an
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/AlsaInfo so we can make sure you're having the
same hardware. Thanks!

Re: [Bug 571165] Re: No sound from Internal Laptop speakers

2010-06-30 Thread htmldevelo...@gmail.com
Since external speaker worked and internal does not, I suspect it
could be a configuration problem ie, kernel + userspace component all
okso how about this:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=9488763

For your case:

1. copy the conf file out (since u have installed the backports.
2. deinstall the backport alsa module, and reinstall the latest alsa
modules.
3. And modify the conf file to use the same parameter as that of the
backport version.

Perhaps I may be wrong somewhere...but u can give it a try?

Using HDA analyzer and changing its options to generate this diff helps.
However, this doesn't persist across reboots and it simply doesn't give
