It's a TM2701LC, if that makes sense. I haven't looked at the laptop testing pages on the wiki yet, since everything worked. I'll have to go and add my feedback soon, maybe after I've tried gutsy on there. I've got the CD now, just need to burn it. I can report that the laptop (Acer TravelMate) worked perfectly out of the box with Feisty, including Compiz on the ATI Radeon mobile (open source drivers)! Going to Gutsy as soon as the CD finishes downloading and I can burn it... For me, this was Kaffeine and the need the for the cx88-dvb module to be loaded manually. In 7.10 I can say it works out of the box. Maybe glxgears too, if there's a graphics card + free driver. There have been a few pages about testing in the wiki for a while now. One aimed specifically at laptops, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTesting and another at ISO testing for alpha milestone releases, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/ISO Recently there seems to have been an re-organisation in the wiki to promote more testing.
