[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 650526] Re: [arrandale] GPU lockup 488c32be
I've found adding a line to xorg.conf to set a virtual desktop space to encompass a 1024x768 and 1440x900 monitor in an effort to cope with bug #635827 prevents the xserver from starting. If you comment out lines beginning with Virtual in the "Display" subsections, will X start for you? (though this will not give you continuous dual monitors) -- [arrandale] GPU lockup 488c32be https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/650526 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 433142] Re: geode driver do not display 1024x600 on (K)UNR Karmic
Hi Frank, As I mentioned, I have no problem getting a 1024x600 resolution with a custom xorg.conf (which I have supplied previously, it's in the attachments section). I believe we are trying to see whether it is possible to have this ratio available by default (without an xorg.conf file). [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 650770] [NEW] nvidia 6150 display failure
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau Mythbuntu, Maverick Live CD 20100928. I booted from the live CD. The purple "Mythbuntu" screen showed itself properly for a few seconds. Then the (plymouth?) Mythbuntu-with-dots loading screen appeared, but it was rolling vertically. When that finished, the "choose your language" screen appeared, also rolling. I switched to a console via ctrl-alt-f1, and it also rolled. The computer has an nVidia 6150 integrated video chip. Normally it runs Kubuntu Hardy Heron using the proprietary nVidia drivers. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: iso-testing maverick -- nvidia 6150 display failure https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/650770 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-nouveau in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 650748] [NEW] fglrx has problems with openGL in Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: fglrx The fglrx driver is not properly running with applications which use OpenGL, such as Blender, Cairo-Dock or Google Earth, as well as some games. These applications sometimes appear to be blurred or blinking. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 646860] xkbcomp.txt
apport information ** Attachment added: "xkbcomp.txt" https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/646860/+attachment/1650360/+files/xkbcomp.txt ** Description changed: Binary package hint: nspluginwrapper Few days ago I did a fresh install of 10.04 on my laptop Aspire 8530 and I experienced similar problems occurred with Ubuntu 9.10, while using the touch-pad. As a matter of fact my touch-pad is frequently, not always, jumping around like crazy, opening windows, applications ... and it.s very hard to work in such a situation. I checked for a fix on the web and I found that a strange behaviour of a mouse/touch-pad crazy with OS Ubuntu has been reported several times, but none could find a good solution. The very strange thing to me is that the anomalous behaviour does not occur always, it's a random phenomenon and I started thinking of a capricious computer (with a soul?). For example yesterday my touch-pad worked fine, but not now and I can't replay the situation on request. My laptop Acer Aspire 8530G has windows 7 installed by factory and Ubuntu 10.04 in a separated partition. I would like to use Ubuntu always and for this it is essential to fix this bug. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 646860] Re: Touch-pad crazy with Ubuntu 10.04 on laptop Aspire 8530
Now my touch-pad appears crazy and I'm going to send actual data to Lanchpad. ** Description changed: Binary package hint: nspluginwrapper Few days ago I did a fresh install of 10.04 on my laptop Aspire 8530 and I experienced similar problems occurred with Ubuntu 9.10, while using the touch-pad.
