[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1174495] Re: Window Managers instability with r600 radeon and high monitor resolutions
Hello sfar, or anyone else affected, Accepted compiz into raring-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/1:0.9.9~daily13.05.31~13.04-0ubuntu1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository. Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users. If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1190806] [NEW] X server fails to start on MacBookPro9, 1 with hybrid Intel/Nvidia graphics: no screens found
Public bug reported: I have a MacBookPro9,1, which has both an integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 controller and a discrete Nvidia GeForce GT 650M. I want to disable the Nvidia graphics and boot using Intel only, since I don't need the Nvidia chip's capabilities and it shortens battery life (and makes suspend/resume not work; see bug #1084960). But when I blacklist the Nouveau driver and reboot using the Intel driver only, the X server fails to start: it reports "no screens found" and crashes. I'm booting using EFI rather than BIOS; not sure whether that's relevant. I'll attach the X server log and the dmesg log. The first one was in EGL_NOK_swap_region -- but swapping and vblank were disabled because that card has no physical output, so I think it was a race. The other test has been failing on intel too, with the exact same error message. I think the test may be unreliable. I'm marking this bug as verification-done, considering there have been reports of #1187500 slowness being fixed I'll mark that as verification- done too. If the slowness issue persists modify that bug, not this one.. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to mesa in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1183269 Title: new upstream release 9.1.3 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/1183269/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

I can confirm that the bug *does NOT* occur in another machine with ATI card which uses the open-source radeon modules. In that machine, xfig works ok (no crashes and the solid color fill are ok). [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1051202] [NEW] Playback of video in Flash Player becomes very accelerated at random times until reboot
You have been subscribed to a public bug: At random times, ALL video playback in any flash-based video player (e.g. videos on YouTube and Vimeo) start playing at abnormal speed, several times faster than normal. I have already reported this bug to Adobe (and incredibly enough nobody from adobe has said a f***ing word), but two things make me suspect this is something much deeper and external to Flash Player: 1. This only happens on Linux 2. more importantly, when this start happening, restarting the flash player (usually the browser) doesn't fix the issue. Nothing except reboot fixes the issue. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1066599]
Hi, The upstream Mesa fix won't get distributions' libOSMesa right automatically. It seems that libOSMesa need to be compiled without --enable-shared- glapi while other Mesa components need --enable-shared-glapi Therefore, distributions need to build libOSMesa separately, which is not been done in Arch, Debian, Ubuntu currently. Is this the right way to compile Mesa? Is there any distributions already do things right? Would you file bugs to distributions? Thank you in advance. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to mesa in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1066599 Title: Wine is unable to detect OSMesa correctly when compiling from source To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mesa/+bug/1066599/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

We're closing this bug since there has not been a response from the original reporter. However, the issue still exists please feel free to reopen with the requested information. If you're not the original reporter, we'd prefer you file a new bug report. Some tips: * Report X.org bugs via the command: `ubuntu-bug xorg` * Test against the latest development Ubuntu. http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/ Bugs marked as affecting the development version tend to get priority attention. * The `xdiagnose` utility has functionality for enabling debugging and analyzing a few common X problems. * Tag your bugs with the Ubuntu versions you have reproduced the issue in. * See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Reporting for tips on writing good bug reports. ** Changed in: nvidia-graphics-drivers-180 (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Expired -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-180 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/210458 Title: nVidia GLX-driver breaks console To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nvidia-drivers-ubuntu/+bug/210458/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1190485] Re: libreoffice crash to zombie when saving to samba
** Description changed: + == NB edit: this is for package libreoffice-core, not xserver-xorg- + video-intel. I thought that I filed the report against that libreoffice- + core. I cannot move it. == + Reproduce: open a file via thunar from a samba drive, change it and save it. Reproduced in writer an calc, other libreoffice programs not tested. This happens in libreoffice-core 4.0.2 (official ubuntu release) and 4.0.3 (ppa ) Libreoffice stops resonding. The process does not stop when command is given to end the process. The network drive is mounted via gvfs. This problem was reported to be solved in 4.0.2-RC2 Still open after ending the process: soffice.bin oosplash oosplash can be killed. killing the soffice.bin process ends up with zombie. Then only logout helps (fortunately reboot is not needed). I get a Terminal window that says I need to install the above package. I enter my password and hit Enter, but the installation ends up failing, causing another few error windows to pop up, then Steam launches and runs as normal. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1190485] [NEW] libreoffice crash to zombie when saving to samba
Public bug reported: Reproduce: open a file via thunar from a samba drive, change it and save it.
