[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1180646]
i915.ko is the kernel driver used for all Intel GPUs. i965_dri.so is the OpenGL driver used for all of the GPUs mentioned in this bug report (I see Ironlake and Ivy Bridge). I also only see one Mesa version mentioned (9.0.1), and it's quite old. Is anyone able to reproduce this on either 9.1.4 or current master? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to mesa in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1180646 Title: cairo-dock rendering issues using openGL backend on intel GPU To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mesa/+bug/1180646/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1201493] [NEW] apple wireless trackpad stops respond after touching it with more then two fingers
Public bug reported: I can use it like a normal trackpad and use two finger scrolling, but if I try and use any of the gestures that require more then two fimgers, it stops responding entirely. In order to get it to respond again I have to either restart X or by clicking one of the hardware buttons on the trackpad. As a result of this, you cannot perform a middle button click as that takes 3 fingers or use any of the old multi-touch gesture features that were available in previous versions of Ubuntu. The current Debian version of nvidia-cuda-toolkit (5.0.35-4) does this on Debian systems by checking the version of libcuda1 and on Ubuntu systems by checking the version of nvidia-current, nvidia-curent-updates, nvidia-experimental-304 or nvidia-experimental-310. It would greatly simplify maintenance of packages building against libcuda.so.1 and libOpenCL.so.1 if the nvidia-graphics drivers could provide virtual packages that reflect the API level, for example, libcuda-5.0-1 and libopencl-1.2-1. - Packages could then build-depend on these virtual packages and use - shlibs.local to override the dependencies on libcuda.so.1 and - libOpenCL.so.1 with libcuda-5.0-1 and libopencl-1.2-1 respectively, - allowing packages to be installed with any compatible version of the - nvidia-graphics-drivers, not only the version they were built against. + It was decided that the nvidia drivers packages will provide libcuda-5.0-1 and libopencl1 virtual packages. + Additionally, nvidia-*.shlibs would contain: + libOpenCL 1 libopencl1 + libcuda1 libcuda-5.0-1 + libGL 1 libgl1 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-313-updates in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1129409 Title: nvidia-graphics-drivers should indicate which versions of libcuda.so.1 and libOpenCL.so.1 they include To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/boinc/+bug/1129409/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1201403] [NEW] Unity performance issue on intel gpu
Public bug reported: The overall performance of my notebook feels worse when I Use unity. After starting my computer everything seems to be fast, however in a short time (in 1 hour, or less based on usage) things became slow, and sometimes sluggish. A reboot seems to solve this. Suspend/resume seems to make things slower a bit For comparison I tried using XFCE for a while (compositing disabled). The overall performance felt better. Webpages tend to scroll smoother, intellij IDEA used to slow down (noticable lag when typing), I didn't notice this behaviour while I used xfce, even when the IDE did some cpu intensive like rebuilding indexes. When I use Unity the cpu usage of compiz grows over time even if nothing happens on the screen, and I close every application.
