Same issue on a Yoga L380. Kernels 5.8.0-45 and 5.8.0-48 cause a total freeze as soon as the stylus approaches the screen, but booting into kernel 5.8.0-44 leads to the stylus working fine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to libwacom in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1920682 Title: Lenovo x1 Yoga freeze after stylus touches the display To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libwacom/+bug/1920682/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

You have been subscribed to a public bug: Xorg upstream has forked xwayland from xorg-server master with it's own versioning, in order to get new functionality to the users now that new major xserver releases have pretty much been abandoned. This bug is to allow this separate source enter the archive past FF. It replaces the xwayland binary from src:xorg-server. The version is now at 21.0.99.902, meaning rc2 of 21.1. The final release is expected later this month. It would be useful to have the latest release in hirsute now that a wayland session is used by default. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1920665] Re: Ubiquity KDE crash on try/install and from live session with "malloc(): unaligned tcache chunk detected"
I have attempted to install from kubuntu hirsute daily build 21-03-22 kubuntu hirsute daily build 21-03-23 kubuntu hirsute daily build 21-03-24 each version the insstallation fails. Incidentally I noticed another change. While the daily builds were installing correctly a procedure appeared on screen, this no longer happens. After booting the installation media, a self check ran with an on screen display showing the stages the check was passing through. The word Kubuntu appeared on screen and this display was beneath it. Since the installation began to fail, the file check no longer shows and although the word Kubuntu appears it disappears shortly after.
