[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1159536] [NEW] [sandybridge-m-gt2] False GPU lockup IPEHR: 0x23002000 IPEHR: 0x0b140001

2013-03-24 Thread Alex Balmus
Public bug reported:

I have Hybrid graphics system Intel - AMD. HP Pavillion DV7 6090ef. Only the
Intel GPU works in Ubuntu.
I use a dual monitor setup.

I had several consecutive crashes just after starting my system. The
screens when blank for a few seconds without affecting the apps I was
running. There was no need to reboot. This never happened before.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1068661] Re: 1002:6740 Unity does not load after installing fglrx-installer Radeon HD 6700M Series

2012-10-24 Thread Alex Balmus
I have a Hp Pavillion DV7 with Inter Core i7 and hybrid graphics
Intel/AMD 6770M

I have tried:
- fglrx driver from software sources (fglrx and fglrx-updates)
- 12.9, 12.10 and 12.11 driver from AMD website

I get the same problem - unity doesn't load after the instalation of teh
driver.

The open source driver works.
I can only use the Intel card, I cannot switch via vgaswitcheroo. I disable
the AMD (DIS) via a startup script.
