[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 597895] Re: X crashes on key press
I have a similar problem with the d-link boxee remote when I try to use Boxee full screen. Whenever I press a button on the remote, X segfaults and dies. This is in Ubuntu 10.10 (32 bit). I get a backtrace very similar to the one reported in the first post. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 450493] Re: xorg: failed to load module "nvidia"
the ko should be built by jockey or at boot by dkms, but I guess it is failing. I have filed a bug in jockey about the failure here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/jockey/+bug/450770 - but it may be a more general compilation problem and jockey is just a victim. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 449202] Re: Blank screen on bootup, karmic, nvidia card
I have the same problem after install the 185 drivers in an up to date Karmic - boots into black screen. I have nvidia 9400 and 8400 and both machines are screwed.
