[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 673875] Re: synclient TouchpadOff=1 toggles touchpad rather than disabling it

2010-11-30 Thread Joel Ebel
After further investigation, it looks like this was just an interaction
of the disable touchpad when typing option. If that is disabled, then
this works as expected.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 673875] [NEW] synclient TouchpadOff=1 toggles touchpad rather than disabling it

2010-11-10 Thread Joel Ebel
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics

Using Lucid on a Thinkpad T410s, running synclient TouchpadOff=1 toggles
the state of the touchpad. It should always disable it.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 220628] Re: [MASTER] firefox-3.0b5 received an X Window System error: 'BadIDChoice'

2009-11-23 Thread Joel Ebel
Correct. The problem doesn't occur with libxcb1 1.1-1ubuntu1. I did
notice that this is exposed by the fact that we divert /usr/bin/firefox
to /usr/bin/firefox.distrib. The problem doesn't occur if
/usr/bin/firefox-3.0 is called directly. I also discovered a similar
error starting gnome-screensaver with the new libxcb that is not present
with the original version.

 $ gnome-screensaver
gnome-screensaver: ../../src/xcb_lock.c:33: _XCBUnlockDisplay: Assertion
`xcb_get_request_sent(dpy->xcb->connection) == dpy->request' failed.
Aborted

2009-10-30 Thread Joel Ebel
That was with the package in hardy proposed. Firefox failing to start
was not a symptom of the original bug.

Tested under hardy. Firefox fails to start with:

firefox: ../../src/xcb_lock.c:33: _XCBUnlockDisplay: Assertion
`xcb_get_request_sent(dpy->xcb->connection) == dpy->request' failed.
