[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 890928] Re: When trying to install libxkbfile1:i386 the pkg manager asks to remove too many important packages [Multi-arch]

2012-05-21 Thread dorpm
I found a workaround: Install libxkbfile (amd and i386) from
https://launchpad.net/~tellis/+archive/multiarch/+packages. That solves
the problem for the moment.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 705763] [NEW] poor graphics performance with xorg 1.9

2011-01-21 Thread dorpm
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

With xorg 1.9 the graphics performance on my Kubuntu 10.10 amd64 is
poor. For example if I shift a window on the screen it jerks where
before with Kubuntu 10.04 it flew. I have tested the same with Xorg of
Kubuntu 10.04 and received a much better peformance.

My graphics system contains a Nvidia 9500GT and nvidia-current is
installed.

Please let me know if further information is needed.

Florian

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 690755] Re: poor graphics performance with nvidia-current in maverick

2011-01-19 Thread dorpm
Obviously a still existing bug for cooperation of nvidia and xorg 1.9. I
reverted to xorg of Lucid and received much more performance (see also
http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=9874780&postcount=12).

Hopefully this bug disappears soon!

Regards,
Florian

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 691632] [NEW] graphics performance bad after upgrade to maverick

2010-12-17 Thread dorpm
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

With Ubuntu 10.04 LTS I had a very good graphics performance with my
system. After upgrading everything seems to work chewy and where the
windows with 10.04 slided over the desktop now they are jerking. It's a
pity to loose the good performance I had before.

Please let me know if further information is needed and/or if it is
possible to get an improve.

Cheers,
Florian

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 690755] [NEW] poor graphics performance with nvidia-current in maverick

2010-12-15 Thread dorpm
Public bug reported:

With the actual nvidia-current which obviously contains the driver
260.19.06 the graphics performance with my Nvidia 9500 GT is much slower
than it was in Lucid. Especially the vdpau device seems not to work. In
mplayer I see no difference if I use vdpau output or X11. vdpau-va-
driver is installed!

Florian
