[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1084452] Re: i915 loaded instead of i810 - broken openGL
The issue is caused by /etc/X11/Xsession.d/10fglrx file incorrectly setting driver path. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 436543] [NEW] Black screen and freeze with fglrx on boot on Karmic
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: fglrx-kernel-source When booting Karmic with fglrx enabled the only thing I get after starting KDM is black screen. I cannot switch to tty from there. It's possible to workaround the issue by booting into recovery mode, and in root shell disable fglrx in xorg.conf. If you then continue to boot you get KDM. When you log in on tty and enable fglrx in xorg.conf again afterwards, KDM is working fine.
