Re: [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 369042] Re: [HD 2600/HD 3670/HD 4650/ Others?] fglrx + Kwin with OpenGL desktop effects = failed resume
Here's my xorg.conf's (see attached) from the Catalyst version 9.7 vs 9.8. 9.8 Suspens/resumes flawlessly with compositing enabled (yay!), while 9.7 and earlier did not. I'm running Ubuntu Jaunty with kernel 2.6.28-15-generic (from uname -r) with a Gateway M6862 laptop with an ATI Radeon 2600HD card. 2009/8/18 José Tomás Atria > Hey Timothy, could you please post the contents of your xorg.conf file > to see what did ati-config put in there? actually, if you have a copy > of your old xorg.conf, a diff between the two files would be extremely > useful. > > thanks! > > On Tue, Aug 18, 2009 at 11:42 AM, tmokeefe > wrote: > > Some good news on this bug finally. I haven't seen anyone else post this, but this problem still persists with the latest Catalyst drivers and the Jaunty kernel On Aug 13, 2009 5:55 PM, "Bryce Harrington" wrote: ** Tags added: kubuntu -- [HD 2600/HD 3670/HD 4650/ Others?] fglrx + Kwin with OpenGL desktop effects = failed resume htt... -- [HD 2600/HD 3670/HD 4650/ Others?] fglrx + Kwin with OpenGL desktop effects = failed resume https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/369042 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 369042] Re: fglrx + desktop effects = failed resume
I have the exact same problem. I am using an ATI Radeon 2600 HD with the proprietary fglrx drivers installed. I'd also like to add that I have tried out Fedora 10 (gnome) and Ubuntu 8.10-9.04 (both with gnome) and have had this exact same problem with both. I've attached the same files as requested earlier. ** Attachment added: "lspci.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/26913589/lspci.txt -- fglrx + desktop effects = failed resume https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/369042 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
