Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Where is squeezeplay for xubuntu

2011-12-19 Thread wowo

Thanks Lauret, with the help of the link
http://www.jfwhome.com/2009/11/22/co...-ubuntu-amd64/ I have made
Squeezeplay working on Ubuntu 10.10.

Unfortunately I can Squeezeplay use only as remote for my other players
(Squeezebox Touch/Radio/Classic).
If I want to use Squeezeplay as audioplayer on my laptop, I could not
get any sound.
@Lauret have you sound working with PulseAudio ?

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Upgrading to SB 7.5.3 on Ubuntu Lucid (10.10)

2011-02-04 Thread wowo

I have also installed Ubuntu 10.10 fresh and have had no problems to
install Squeezebox Server 7.5.3 (ppa: http://debian.slimdevices.com
stable main).

The only thing I could imagine is that you forgot to install the Mysql
server 5.1 first ?

Foobar under Wine works fine for me. I am using Ubuntu.
But there are other ways for Linux:
1) terminal program "mp3gain" (terminalcode: mp3gain -r -c
/home/Musicmap/*.mp3)
2) or graphical program "easyMP3Gain" (= mp3gain with a graphical
shell)

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Kubuntu 9.10 and SBS 7.5 and mysql again!

2010-04-18 Thread wowo

I have installed SBS 7.5 under Ubuntu 9.10 without any problems.
Install *first* mysql 5.1 (with Synaptic) before you install SBS 7.5.
See attachment.
Mysql 5.1 is not standard installed under Ubuntu 9.10.
