Re: [one-users] onevm shows vm is running but it is not in xen

2011-07-18 Thread Prakhar Srivastava
Hi,
*onevm create* will create the virtual machine instance and deploy it too.
If you want to just submit the VM, use *onevm submit* instead.
Can you please post back the vm.log for the vm?

[one-users] tune 'onevm saveas' behavior for OpenVZ

2011-07-18 Thread knawnd

Dear OpenNebula developers,

I need some help to tune the behavior of 'onevm saveas' command in case
of OpenVZ  VMs.
The only change needs to be made in its current behavior is to archive a
root dir of particular OpenVZ VM and register that archive as a new OS
image in ONE image repository since OpenVZ VM filesystem is not a single
file but a directory on the host server (for more details see [1]).
I am not sure what file(s) needs to be modified: $ONE_LOCATION/bin/onevm
(771 - 836 lines) or/and $ONE_LOCATION/share/hooks/image.rb.
Could you, please, help me with the implementation of described
functionality since I have no experience in ruby programming?

For the time being I am using stable version of OpenNebula 2.2.1.
Please, let me know if more info needs to be provided.

Regards,
Nikolay.

Hi,

Please send through your $ONE_LOCATION/lib/remotes/im/vmware.rb, I cannot
see a reason of the failure in line 61.

Hello

You may need to select device as well in DISK section. (For debian it
is  /dev/xvda  )

[one-users] onevm shows vm is running but it is not in xen

2011-07-18 Thread Rasika Karunathilaka
Hi Team,
 I was able to create vm instance, and it was created successfully. Please find
my vm template below. However I can't log in to the vm. when I try to get the
console (xm console ) it provide following messages. Further vm is in
blocked state. Please Help ! ..

Why does it deploy, when I just used onevm create , shouldn't it
create the image only and not start it. I believe stating should come when we
issue onevm deploy .  Highly appreciate you help on this. Kernel and Initrd
on template is pointed to the same on Xen Host machine.

Cheers !
Rasika

Hi Juan,

That means that the installation of libvirt is broken. How did you install
it, from source or using a package? In any case, you should try to reinstall
it.

2011-07-18 Thread Juan José Fuentes
Hi Carlos,

Thank you, I've changed the URI, but the the error still.

I've found a test on the Web using the command VIRSH, so I've executed the
command:

oneadmin@sigcloud01:/etc/one$ virsh gsx://sigcloud02.sigmaaie.org?no_verify=1
virsh: error while loading shared libraries: libvirt-qemu.so.0: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory

Where should be those libraries? Where should I indicate the location of the
libraries?

Re: [one-users] Trouble with VMWare installation and configuration with vmware support

2011-07-18 Thread Tino Vazquez
Hi Juan,

Yes, you need to install VMware Server on the nodes.

About the error, did you edit $ONE_LOCATION/etc/vmwarerc accordingly? You
need to set the credentials of the VMware Server at least.

Regards,

-Tino

[one-users] About virtual machines hooks

2011-07-18 Thread María Pérez
Title: Firma de correo

Hi,

I need to add a iptables rule when one VM is running. I had thought
to solve this using one virtual machine hook.

The lines added in the oned.log file are:

HOST_HOOK = [
    name  = "redir_vnc",
    on    = "RUNNING",
    command   = "redir_vnc.sh",
    arguments = "$GRAPHICS[TYPE] $HID $GRAPHICS[PORT] x.x.x.x",
    remote    = "no" ]

The shell script is in the directory $ONE_LOCATION/share/hooks. Is
this OK? The command can be a shell script? Because the command does
not execute and I do not see anything in the logs.

Some idea? I have been reading this information [1], you know some
other info than it can help me?

Thanks in advance.
María
