RE: Sirius XM support is less than helpful
Then vote with your wallet and cancel your subscription. It is in my opinion not up to Apple to police accessibility or force companies to follow accessibility guidelines. If Sirius XM doesn’t care about visually impaired users then it should be their loss. I remember when I first started using Sonos and the app was really terrible. Then I started lobbying them for accessibility and a few others joined me, Neil Barnfather from the UK was very involved, and next thing Sonos started making changes and the app became better and better. Now it’s been perfectly accessible for well over 10 years and update after update accessibility remains good. This is an audio centric app. They have to know that blind people use audio centric apps. It be nice if Apple would require audio centric apps to have all of their stuff labeled accessibly? I know it will never happen. But it should. I’m not asking for every app in the App Store to be fully accessible. But something like SiriusXM with a clearly audio centered thing, that should be made to be fully accessible to voiceover in order to get onto the App Store . I’m sorry, but this is crap!
