The location turned out to be the problem; putting a symlink in /usr/include solved it. Is this a Wine bug, or an openSUSE bug? Now it's Wine. I don't know any guidelines about proper place for headers so could be a problem with some packages too. Since yesterday, configure has been giving me a "libgsm development files not found" warning even though they are installed on my system. This is on openSUSE 11.1, 32 bit.
