actually, the PMC 50 is one of the cleanest boards around. i will say that it
is one of the only vestax boards that sounds good, though. It is so clean
that Burst uses them on their rig and they are so harcore about RANE shit it
is unbelievable. i am not into their battle boards at all. they s

Affirmative. You can only assign two channels when using the crossfader...
if you wish to use the one or both of the remaining channels also, you have
to turn the fader off.
I've never used the fader anyway, I generally prefer using the individual
levels... that's just me, though

Heard a snippet of a track on the radio here in Toronto. Late 60s or 70s,
I think. Male speaker states "Many of the finest soul artists came from
Detroit." He mentions the Four Tops, 1 or 2 others, then:
"And now listen to this: Detroit Soul!"
That's when the track was mixed into something else.
