Are you using Rockbox? That should address those problems. I use Rockbox on my
iRiver exclusively.
It is far better - especially for recording. And yes, Ken, it can record wavs
(amongst other
things).

The only thing about the H320 is that it will cut out after a certain time at
higher kbps rates of recording and you can't monitor the levels.
