What a nice way to debase this beautiful musical artform into
just-in-time, have-it-your-way consumer bull$itt.
I guess we get what we deserve with all this mp3 download crap.
Have we gone from art-lovers to &!#*@ consumers as mr. italo might say?

Fyi, Samurai Records is out of Pomona (that's California). Their
distributors are only in Japan and the UK at the moment. For those list
members in the US wishing for some California love from Samurai, they
don't yet have anything setup here...that was as of yesterday.

he artists and label owners picked up on this or is there some
other force at work here? Is this cashing in on an previously
underappreciated sound or some strange coincidence that all these
classics of old are appearing at my musical doorstep?
What do you think?

but it's taken moving around to help me
understand that music's appeal lies more than in just the art. The
cultural milieu, and the environmental surroundings have an important
impact as well.
Anyone else experience this?

I don't th

was/is Transmat's DJ, so perhaps a more knowledgeable person can tell me
more. Is everything he does as magical as this?

be so damn funky? Where is this guy from?
Recommended. And if you speed it up it sounds real nice mixed with your
detroit bass standards. Come to think of it, the other tracks on this
12" lean decidedly to the detroit electro bass camp.

I just re-subscribed...funny, though, that people still discuss roughly
the same stuff though...it all get's recycled.

I think someone asked where to get the Ron's Edits records. As of this
last Friday, Hardwax in Germany had both 1 and 2 still in stock.

quite honest...once I got over the serious cheese factor from the
vocals, I began to appreciate them. I even sang along. Ack. The 12's
also had some wacked-out dnb remixes too...Osulande contributed a really
nice mix for one of the records...

I'd like to second the motion for blechtum. I saw them live in SF about
a year ago and thought it was quite lovely. I think it's
macintosh-powered stuff...looking forward to more material.
