I interviewed Detroit's Kid Rock this morning. Not really my musical taste when it comes to hip-hop (I would prefer Slum Village).
I asked him about techno and booty and, trust me, this kid knows his Detroit techno inside out. He enthused about growing up with Mojo, The Wizard, Juan, Eddie, etc. But get this, Kid said he was a DJ at one point and did basement parties and the like in Detroit. He also said that he used to do raps for The Wizard. He would go over to Jeff's house and they were friends. He said he hasn't seen Jeff for ages but remembers him well. Is this common knowledge? In due course I will post the transcript so you can see it for yourselves. C
