Where does the original drum sample used on oscillator off "the secret

over a prominent grab from Mantronix' "King Of The Beats".
--Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, Shake, and other original Detroit techno legends have kept recording and not rested on their laurels. I respect that. Maybe Derrick May is afraid of failure and thus hasn't recorded since way back when because he is worried about falling on his face, and thus goes the DJ route as an alternative way to capitalize on his fame. Plus May did many of his biggest tracks with collaborators whom he went on to piss off (I know I'd be pretty pissed if I had collaborated with him and my name got removed from the credits on represses), so perhaps he is worried his fame derived from working with others with whom he can no longer work. IMO, he certainly isn't challenging himself the way Atkins, Saunderson, Shakir, et al have.
